Yeah, when I used to drink coffee it never tasted the same at home. I loved Perkin's coffee.

Yeah, Krispy Kreme tried in Toronto too. I don't think they lasted too long. It's all about Tim Hortons in Canada. I swear that owning a Timmy's franchise is practically a license to print money here
(as a non coffee drinker, the concept of people waiting in line every day and spending good money for coffee really mystifies me. Does it really taste that much better to make it worth spending all that time and money compared to making it home?)
As a coffee drinker let me just say...Yes!!!
A good cup of coffee can get you through the day...LOL
It is an addiction and Timmy's knows it.I think they have the second highest caffeine count second to only Starbucks.
I have waited upwards of twenty minutes for decent cup of java.
But now I usually make my own and throw it in the thermos still not the same though.Leave a comment:

I swear that owning a Timmy's franchise is practically a license to print money here (my mother used to do the bookkeeping for a franchise owner and would strongly agree with this). I live in a small town and we have a half dozen in the area, the drive throughs always have huge lines, mostly for the coffee that the same people buy every day (as a non coffee drinker, the concept of people waiting in line every day and spending good money for coffee really mystifies me. Krispy Kreme here in the South, where they are made fresh 24/7. Duncan came in for a while but didn't last a year. Between the two I prefer Kripsy Kreme. I was very surprised to find a Krispy Kreme out west in Santa Ana, CA on one of my trips out there.Last edited by ScottA; Mar 1, '09, 2:14 PM.Leave a comment:

Around me, the same guy owns 3 different Dunkin Donuts in 3 different local towns.
He's got a tractor trailor that delivers already made donuts to all 3 of his locations in the very wee hours of the morning ... so nobody will notice.Leave a comment:

The only donut place by me is Dunkin Donuts and it sucks.
They don't even make donuts on the premises.
They donuts are trucked in every 2 days already made and baked.
All Dunkin does is unfreeze them and warm them.
If I want that, i'd might as well buy the Hostess ones in the store -- which is what I do.Leave a comment:

it's been years since I've had a dunkin donut ... last time they were nasty little things so I don't miss them. Now a local store here in Silverton has awesome donuts. all fresh made each day ... very very yummyLeave a comment:

Usually Dunkin' Donuts or Dippin' Donuts (a small rival of our local Dunkin' Donuts franchises).
My father worked for Dan Dee Donuts (a Central NY chain that had it's heyday in the 1970s) for 40+ years until he retired a few years back. But by that point they were only down to one store (at one point they had over 25 plus some KFC franchises) and had renamed it Baker's Dozen in order to avoid creditors....VERY poor management once the son took over the family business.Leave a comment:

Krispy Kreme came up to Massachusetts a few years ago. Almost all closed, Dunkin Doughnuts beat them hands down. In Mass it's realy about the coffie not the food.Leave a comment:

Not a big fan of the donut chains although Tim Horton wasn't too bad. Don't really eat that many to begin with. When I lived in Buffalo the best donuts were either Dickie's Donuts or Tops Supermarket's bakery donuts. They all suck out here and I really don't care for Dunkin Donuts. The Krispy Kreme's all closed up when everyone went on the carb-free fad diet, too.
