I was watching AAA wrestling this afternoon. Some interesting stuff there. Saw what looked like Doink's family reunion and some guy dressed like Hellboy.

Funny you bring up Doink,he works at a gravel pit outside New Castle PA.Its a shame to think a guy that was in 2 Wrestlemania's now crushing and loading rock.

There's no shame in having a job...and an honest one at that.

Plus those workers at gravel pits make good money.

Besides, all the different Doinks didn't really make spectacular money like the main superstars.

How 'bout the best: the 4 Horsemen?
Would have enjoyed the Horsemen vs. Wolfpack at Starcade.
The Horsemen were the real deal!

I'm not down on him for working, not at all.But this place is a crap hole.I was getting at the point, the guys today with million dollar contracts are alot of times half the wrestlers or performers of those that came before them.

What version of the Horseman? The first was the best.Ole and Arn Anderson,Tully Blanchard and Ric Flair had style and attitude. They set a standard for sure!

                    Which of the Doinks?

Matt Borne, Steve Keirn, Dusty Wolfe, Steve Lombardi, or Ray Apollo?

All the Doinks, Matt Borne, Steve Keirn, Dusty Wolfe, Steve Lombardi, or Ray Apollo...couldn't hold a candle to current wrestlers like Randy Orton, Triple H, Rey Mysterio, Jeff Hardy, etc...

Sometimes we tend to romanticize the old timers too much...not that the Doinks were stars...they were just solid journeymen.

The Brooklyn Brawler (Steve Lombardi) was the last official wrestler to have played the Doink persona.

I read a quote one time that compares wrestlers of old to them today. It went "wrestlers use to look like your fat drunk uncle"I agree todays wrestlers are in way better condition . They've taken their moves to a higher level, but its a differnt kind of entertainment now.
