Agreed that QoS isn't as good as CR... but then, how could it have been? CR is a seminal film, a benchmark film. Its sequels will likely never achieve the levels of realism, excitement, style, intelligence, and yes emotional involvement that CR reaches. In many ways QoS is just another Bond picture... but it's a damn good Bond picture, and lands firmly in my personal Top Ten.

I feel the same way about the later Connery movies, YOLT and DAF. They pale in comparison to Dr. No and Thunderball, and are rather silly and unbelievable in a way that the later Roger Moore movies made into a kind of pop art form. But those later Connerys are still damn good! They're still Bond, and all that that entails!

I think viewings of QoS will improve its standing in the minds of its current detractors.
