If you don't like it, don't buy it.
    Done.

Exactly. Vote with your dollar. If enough people don't buy books that they think are crap, companies won't keep publishing stuff like that. I haven't read it yet, but I'm not going to let myself get worked up into a froth over Internet rumors. When I find myself buying a book, then complaining about it every time I read it, I cancel that title.
    And done.

^^^ Then somebody needs to talk to all the Jim Lee zombies still buying All Star Batman.

I tell you, its liberating to finally quit buying comics cold turkey. I honestly never thought I'd do it, having a completist nature like I do. But I'm pretty dissatisfied with the current direction of all the comics I once enjoyed, so it was a good time to go. I can always catch back up if I want to.

Morrison might make this all a dream and Bruce wakes up to find the pre-Crisis Jason Todd sitting on the toilet in Wayne Manor. But I'm willing to just wait and find out via the net. To paraphrase what Brian said, you can "read" modern comics without really doing so thanks to forums like this one!

I still buy a few, like Hellboy related stuff, the Goon, Men of Mystery,JSA, Project Superpowers and The Twelve. I quit Marvel and the XMEN in particular after Claremont left and it turned into the Image boys show. If the JSA ever gets stinky, I'll be done with DC.

It does feel good. I thought I woulds not last a month when I quit buying comics. But I've gone 5 years without buying a comic book.

Think B.A. Where did you hide the Megos?

I quit buying comics regularly about 10 years ago. I was at that time especially disgusted with the fact that every book became a showcase for terrible writing and chicks in thongs with back-breakingly huge mammaries designed to sell wretched female action figures. If I wanted bad stories and boobs, I'd unashamedly buy porn.
Now I occasionally pick up some of the huge Marvel/DC Cerebus-style phone book reprint anthologies and the occasional collected volume of indie or classic stories. That's it. Feels good...
