Well, I did hear someone mention the Outsider, which was Alfred's evil alter ego, but that's it.

If Thomas Wayne is coming back from the dead, he might as well do it now. With Bucky, Jason Todd and Barry Allen back, him and Uncle Ben have to be next.

Well I just read 677 and it looks like they are going the way of the rumors.....

1. Thomas Wayne alive?

2. Bruce = Black Glove??

3. Alfred might be Bruce's Father. ***??

4. I think I have to throw up now......

Surely at the end of this arc, Bruce is going to wake up and this will have all been a dream?

I heard bits and pieces about Alfred being the "Black Glove"...haven't heard anything though on Thomas Wayne...is this all they've got left up their sleeves? Either one seems like the "easy" way out...a gimmick, if you will, just to shake things up. I'd rather see it be Bruce Wayne himself...have him go through a psychotic episode. Seems more plausible than raising the dead (Thomas Wayne) or trampling on ground that's already been covered several times over (Alfred as the Outsider).

Maybe the "out" will be that this takes place on an alternate Earth?

Bruce mom a druggie? alfred might be bruce' dad, thomas wayne might have set the whole murder up. can it get any dummer? yes it can, bruce has lived for yrs since the isolation expiriment with a post hypnotic suggesation in his head, which can destroy batman and is triggered when he is pushed beyond a limit and a word. the glove hand breaking into the batcave as a post hynotic word is said by jessibel and vruce falls asleep and the hand beats up alfred. can it get dummer?? why is this being done? GM is ruinning batman. pure crap.

Got the first two issues under my belt now....the writing on this seemed all over the place...almost like he (Grant Morrison) was trying to lay too much groundwork in a short amount of time. I felt like I was missing info from previous issues but to my knowledge "R.I.P" is only two issues old. The innuendo about Thomas Wayne, Alfred and Martha Wayne seemed to come out of left field, with no apparent build-up to these revelations...like I said, I felt like I was missing something. The Alex Ross covers were nice though.

Exactly. Vote with your dollar. If enough people don't buy books that they think are crap, companies won't keep publishing stuff like that. I haven't read it yet, but I'm not going to let myself get worked up into a froth over Internet rumors. When I find myself buying a book, then complaining about it every time I read it, I cancel that title.
