I just prefer realism. To me Timm's stuff looks like caricatures. I dream of the day when they can do an animated movie based off Jerry Ordway's stuff. Probably never happen. Even the Killing Joke movie couldn't capture all Brian Bolland's exquisite line work.Comment

DUH! I forgot the BEST realistic animated series EVER...Jonny Quest! So, it CAN be done.Last edited by enyawd72; Jan 27, '17, 5:32 PM.Comment

I like WW best, too. Don't get me started again on Aquaman.WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.Comment

Full disclosure: I saw "Man of Steel" and liked it well-enough, but I passed on "Bats V. Supes" based on comments I read and my sister (who is more than a passing comics fan) saying she hated every moment of it when she "sat through it".Comment

Gal Gadot makes a very sexy cool and serious Wonder Woman, she should have her own movie with the settings in the 1940's starting with her early origins up to and after WWll, and don't make it dark toned, I think it might be successful if done right.
I have yet to see BvsS but from what I understand it was nothing but BS, my local Target and Walmart carry it on
both DVD and blu-ray and there marked down, I am tempted to get the directors cut with the extra 30 minutes not shown in theaters, but I don't want curiosity to get the better of me, I was not of fan of how Batman looked to begin with.Comment

Dwayne - you're seeing it as an artist, which is understandable. Us lay folks are thinking tone and aesthetics. It's not possible to make Timm anatomic characters out of real people, but the color palette and streamlined designs his team used worked.
For example, I look at Batman and if he was black/grey or dark blue/dark grey, and minus half the Michelin muscles, he would look...human is the best word I can come up with. At that size, why would they need Superman?
And one more...
Why is it when I look at The Flash's costume it looks like some one took a mirror and shattered it?Comment

There are three worthy moments in BvS...but the rest was truly disappointing.
1. Wonder Woman's entrance...the highlight of the movie...the baddarze theme music, her baddarze facial expression, her baddarze greeting to Doomsday...she just outright stole the show.
2. Batman's fight with the gang holding Martha Kent's hostage. This was truly the best Batman fighting sequence I've ever seen...Batman is brutal, no mercy, take no prisoners, powerful fighter, he beats the living crap outta them...he's just baddarze.
3. The Batman vs Superman fight itself, pretty good...but you know me, if I were Supes, I'd never get close to Batman...and just heat blast him from 100 yards away, that, or drop his own Batmobile on him from afar, lol. Supes also never moves or reacts at super speed...the entire fight is at human speed, come on now, lol...

i guess I am in the minority but I liked BvS. it has flaws in abundance and is way to grim, and the color washout makes it even darker....but it was still Batman, Superman and WW on screen together. and yes, WW stole the show. I am looking forward to her solo movieComment

"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris MannixComment

Exactly right. Studios have been making references to the 'Frank Miller' inspiration since the first film in '89. It's like no one ever created a Batman story besides him. What I would GIVE to see a true Neal Adams treatment.
