    you know, I had not watched Doc Savage since I was a kid so when you posted that opening credit I decided to get a copy on Amazon. It's not horrible. it actually a fun campy 70's movie. you just have to know what you are going to be watching to fully enjoy it. plus what is not to like about a very early role for Pam Hensley?

    Not really memorable in any way. When the opening credits are the best scene in the movie you have problems.
    I don't agree that it's not memorable. The studio added a lot of the camp in post. Pal's vision was actually solid, especially in cast.

    35 minutes into Diabolik now. It has good vibes.
    Can't see it in my top films.
    Iassume that if I saw it 30 or 40 years ago, it would hold a higher status.

    I also loved the pulp heroes characters:

    * Doc Savage
    * The Phantom
    * The Shadow
    * The Spider
    * Black Bat

    and the others who showed up in Dynamite Comics Masks

    I feel the same way about Doc Savage and The Phantom films as I do about The Shadow: solid films with good leads, marred by poorly-placed humor and some sub-par foes. One might say the same of the Superman films if in a grouchy mood.

    At any rate, I'd rather re-watch them in the right spirit instead of 75% of today's releases. Just my opinion/preference.

    Diobolik was also part of one of the better series finales of all time.

    On January 1, 2000, an animated series, produced by Saban International, premiered in Europe on Fox Kids, and lasted for 36 episodes, before ending on January 1, 2001. The series featured Diabolik and his companion Eva, as they fought and gradually exposed the Brotherhood and Dane, while evading detective Ginko. It was directed by Jean Luc Ayach with Paul Diamond and Larry Brody as head writers.

    I haven't seen Danger: Diabolik, but I watched Doc Savage in theaters when it was released. I liked it as a kid, not so much now.
