Does Johnny Depp Lone Ranger count? or was it so bad it doesn't?
My God that was a horrible flick, Clayton Moore was probably turning in his grave.

I though it was a lot of fun...the comedy of Spidey and Ant-Man alone, was worth the price of admission, lol.

It was far from a perfect movie, for one, I thought Captain America was a bit too obsessed with Bucky...and thought Stark was right, not Rogers...
Civil war had lots of action. The motivation for the characters left me saying -What? This was a popcorn action flick without any compelling story.

    Barbarella -YES!
Diabolik I had never heard of before this thread. I watched most of it. I think I started it 30 years too late to enjoy it. It is better than some on the list, but I don't know it's comic roots or the film.

I didn't even bring up Rob Schneider, yecchh. Sorry, but the Stallone one just wasn't true to the comic. New one was.

Recent Dredd was true to its Heavy Metal storyline...I loved it...keeping his helmet throughout, without showing his face once, was boss to me.

Stallone Dredd, while not terrible...it's just not Dredd to me.

    That's weird.

I watched it this weekend because my daughter wanted to see Hellboy 1 and 2.
I thought I had forgotten to include it before. -I'll edit the list above which will make this post make no sense.

So I heavily edited my previous list, added films and arrange them from 1-101. Since I just saw just saw Dawn of Justice, I checked to see where it would fall.

What I have come to realize is that day to day my order changes based on how I am connected to the movie or how I define the genre.

Today I was thinking Conan shouldn't be so high because it is fairly far removed from traditional Superheroes and though he has been published by Marvel before, he is not a Marvel character. Flash Gordon is similar in his attachment to mainstream comics.

Superman 2 I keep listed high because of my original feeling for the film, Reeves portrayal and it's place in comic book history -but it is not as good quality wise as modern films. Like Superman, Batman 89, and Blade all paved the way for the genre.

Incredibles was not a comic first. Neither was Unbreakable.

Many could be lumped by series rather than stand alone films.

Should animated be included or not?

I didn't include serials, unreleased, straight to video, fan films, or made for TV movies but certainly some could be.

I will not address the worst of now, but here is what I feel today after Dawn of Justice came out:

Here is my current top 50 Theatrical released comics movies (as of march 25, 2016)
I absolutely the top 24 - order could change at any time. 25 to 41 are great movies- in my opinion. 42- 50 round out my top 50: movies I liked but had some detractors.
There are more films in the genre I like a lot too -just not as much.

    1. Avengers
    2. Avengers Age of Ultron
    3. Captain America - The Winter Soldier
    4. Dark Knight
    5. Iron Man
    6. Incredibles
    7. Spider-Man
    8. Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice
    9. Superman II
    10. Batman Mask of the Phantasm

    12. Iron Man 2
    13. X-Men
    14. X-Men Days of Future Past

Can't see it in my top films.
Iassume that if I saw it 30 or 40 years ago, it would hold a higher status.
I actually saw it on MST3K first, I was mesmerized. I then dug into some of the comics and got the dvd.
