Not to worry, Hector--Henry Cavill is confirmed to be returning as Superman with The Batman as of yet uncast (that we know of, anyway). I don't think you'll ever see Tom Welling on the big screen as Superman; he seems like he has no real love of the character other than the fact that it made his life easy for ten years and will continue to do so through residuals. As for a new Batman, my vote would be either Anson Mount from "Hell on Wheels" or Jim Caviezel from "Person of Interest."
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

Hope Zach Snyder doesn't see this one. If he does I bet it'll be his inspiration for the next movie.

Now that's more like it, lol.

But seriously, why relish on them beating each other up?

Bats and Supes will team up with other mighty DC heroes, and DESTROY those puny Avengers, lol.

Mostly I am excited to see where they go with this. The only issue I have with this is... Man of Steel clearly set the table for Lex in the sequel. Maybe not quite as overtly as the playing card at the end of Batman Begins, but pretty close. And I think it is a smart move to bring him into the sequel. He is too iconic to ignore. He needs to be introduced early in the franchise.

So are they going to shelve the Lex stuff? Or are they going to tell the story of how, when Superman first faced off with his most iconic rival, he couldn't beat him without Batman's help? Not crazy about either option.

Maybe Bruce Wayne helps pitch in to rebuild Metropolis with Lexcorp, and then he slowly learns Lex has a plan to destroy Superman. Or something like that.

I'm of the opinion that Lex will definitely find his way into "World's Finest." As a criminal mastermind, he's kind of on par with Batman as far as resourcefulness and thinking of contingencies, he's just playing on the other side of the coin. Heck, for all we know, Bats may actually work with Luthor until he finds out about Lex's true intentions, then he actually teams up with Superman (reluctantly) to defeat him...

...like in the animated Timm/Dini World Finest movie. It's a smart idea. Layered stuff but not complicated... just fun.
