Spider-Man easily for me, and not only because his powers are so unique among other superheroes, but I think he has the best origin story of all. He's the only hero personally responsible for his own loss. He is his own Joe Chill. His failure to do the right thing when he had the chance can never be undone, no matter how much good he has done since.

Colonel Steve Austin aka The Six Million Dollar Man/Cyborg/The Bionic Man, because after 40 years, he's still a bad***. That and he best represents my childhood. Runner up is Spider-Man. When I entered high school, I was picked on because I was a bit on the quiet side and was also stuck in mostly Special Ed classes. Things changed after freshman year when I came out of my shell and started developing more confidence in myself.Comment

Villain woudl be the Joker. Largely because he is Batmans number one foe, partly because he is just cool, and partly because he is one of few villains who has actually made me angry. When he beat Jason Todd with a crowbar, I got angry. When he shot Barbara Gordon through the spine, then took her clothes off and took pictures of it, I got angry. Few villains can affect me like that, and have me stuill like them. LOLComment

Spider-Man by a mile. Fell in love with the character as soon I saw in the reruns of the 60's cartoon, comics and anything else I saw. The fact that he had the same last name as me was very cool as a kid and I still get "Peter Parker" jokes from some people to this day. The character just has such great heart and you really feel for him.
On the DC it's Batman. When I was kid I loved the TV show and in the comics loved how a normal human could build themselves into such a force. As a go older I appreciated the darker psychological aspects of the character, I didn;t knwo about or pick up as a kid. Liek the fact in his mind his Batman is who he is and Bruce Wayne is the mask. Always felt BM was one the few DC characters who would fit in seamlessly in the Marvel universe.Comment

I have a lot of favorite villains.
I like Deathstroke, Mirror Master, Brainiac, and all of the Secret Six.
Another favorite villain is Hal Jordan.Looking for Green Arrow accessories, Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver, and Japanese Popy Megos (Battle Cossack and France, Battle of the Planets, Kamen Rider, Ultraman) and World Heroes figuresComment

Thor and Spiderman tied for over 20 years. Then BND happened and Thor took the lead. The problem is that I don't really like what Marvel has been doing with either character so I've started looking at the DC universe a bit more.sigpic

Dick Grayson. He's just a cool guy. He's trained with Batman, led the Teen Titans, has some kind of Captain Kirk vibe with the ladies, and he's not all emo all the time. He suffered a tragedy and was able to move on from it and grow. He's been Robin, Nightwing, and Batman in his life.Comment

Ghost Rider , loved the comics and the lack of Ghost Rider action figures as a child lead to an active imagination.

He's not in the superhero genre, but can I pick Popeye? He basically HAS superpowers.
I guess if I had to list my favourite comic characters it would be Kirby's Dr. Doom, E.C. Segar's Popeye by far. Jack Cole's Plasticman and Kirby's Thing might be on the list too though.Comment

All time? There are so many to narrow down. At least ten but if I think about it....really hard...
It's got to be Captain America. #1 he has one of the most craziest arch nemesis whose nature is so diabolical he can't ever die and if he does he always come back by some sneaky way you would never imagine. How many times has the Red Skull had his hand blown off and when he comes back it's like it never happened. It sort of feels like the Wild E. Coyote thing with Red Skull but oh well, it's the frickin Red Skull!
Captain America has been through the hands of my classics I have ready like the original King Kirby up to the recent runs, even made news when he died and they returned his partner Bucky back from the dead.
Also, I never thought I'd live to see the day where he would make it to a silver screen. All though they didn't quite get the suit right in the movies I guess I will settle for it. It's better then nothing.Last edited by Cosmicman; Jul 2, '13, 4:40 PM.More custom Mego madness on Facebook right here...

The contrarian in me wants to say, "Aquaman", but I'd have to say, in order:
1. Aquaman--striking design, simple in construction but with so many cool possibilities. He's so much more than "SuperFriends."
2. Captain Marvel--a perfect comics hero in my opinion
3. Batman--my childhood favorite, always a soft spot for him although I dislike his modernization.
4. Capt. America--he's the star-spangled man with a plan!WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.Comment

I have a few favorites but Superman is my #1 and has been since I was six when I saw the 1978 movie.I like the values of the character and his upbeat tone he also has one of the best Rouges gallery in comics. My #2 is Spiderman my uncle Jim was a fan of the 1960s cartoon and he used to watch it with me but I love Spidys wit and his heart,he never quits no matter the odds.Comment
