    Well, it's official...no Electro costume!

That really sucks. I was hoping they'd find a way to somehow adapt his classic costume for the real world.
An electric company uniform would have worked perfectly...green coveralls with yellow rubber gloves and boots, and maybe some lightning bolt insignias on it.

Yes, I think that's a good decision as well.

I always hated Electro's costume, even as a kid.

Yeah, cause green tights with yellow lightning bolts on them are silly. Not like blue tights with a big red "S" and red undies on the outside.

hey, they took away the red undies. Cause that's what keeping Superman from being relevent with the kids. Yeah, that's it!!

I like your thinking, i think that might have worked. Obviously the 5 pointed mask is a huge stretch, but it could have be some sort of electricity like effect when he uses his powers.

I guess when Webb gets to the Goblin, that character will just look like a drug dealer? These are Marvel heroes and villains. And I'm sorry but if we can see Loki fully imagine (horns and all), then some variation of Electro should be achieved here. Maybe a literal interpretation is stretching it, but to completely abandon any essence of him? That's a cop out. Looks like Webb is once again going to under-imagine the villain. This is quickly becoming a very bland series.

                    Hmmmm....

I'm not really surprised. Ever since "Unbreakable" there's been an attitude that the costumes should go. Hell; ever since the '89 Batman there's been a belef that the costumes are too silly and need to be toned down/realistic'd up.

I think the Avengers has demonstrated that it doesn't have to be that way and that color costumes can work. In a way, it has made the X-Men biker suits look rather dated. In Amazing Spider-man it seemed crazy to me that the only time that the Lizard really worked was when he wore his Lab Coat briefly, reminding us that he was once human and a scientist.

Electro has a pretty goofy look, but I hope he's not just Jaimie Fox in a rubber suit either.

To further illustrate that appearance doesn't matter, Sony announced Mr. Foxx will also be replacing Emma Stone in the role of Gwen Stacy.

I've always liked Electro's costume. Bright colors, lighning bolt mask, very comic book-like. He's one of my fave Spidey villains.

I like it too, but it's inherently goofy, and garish even by comic book standards. No way that suit was going to make to the screen as-is, unfortunately.

Heck Batman hasn't had gray tights in live action since Adam West!
