Richard Pryor's role and performance in Superman 3 suck, but Pryor was a fantastic comedian.

^Without a doubt, but everyone has a few misfires. The producers always blame it on the fact that they expected Pryor to ad-lib more, and he didn't. And to think they scrapped plans for Brainiac for this.

They chose to do that instead of bringing in Brainiac? Theres a few good parts in it, but it was still a huge disappointment. Even as a kid I was unhappy with it.

I remember sitting in the theater and wondering why Pryor was in this, and why the movie was so goofy. The whole opening scene with all the sight gags is actually fairly humorous, but who wanted all of that in a Superman movie? I was 8 and felt like I was somewhat cheated, although I did love the Clark/Evil Supes battle, and any scene with Annette O'Toole.

I remember being equally flummoxed by Supergirl. I thought Helen Slater was great, but the rest was just a mess. It's a mess that makes more sense now that I've seen the director's cut, but it's still a mess.

The movie looks incredible on Blu ray transfer. Since Nolan shot so much of it with IMAX cameras, the effect is stunning. Awesome movie.

I haven't watched the film yet, but the Batmobile documentary is fantastic.

Oh and for those who were wondering if the ending was real, or was just in ol' Alfred's head:

^^^ I never thought that was possible because the revelations of what Wayne did were told as separate events - The pearls missing from the inventory count; The navigational equipment for auto-pilot fixed; and Robin following the navigational settings to the bat cave. Plus it doesn't make any sense that Alfred would then dream of Wayne being with Selina since he never really knew anything about her or how they bonded as Batman and Catwoman when he was not there.

^Me either, but I heard several folks say they wondered if it was just in Alfred's head. I think it's pretty obvious that what Alfred saw was real.

Actually saw DKR for the first time yesterday. I really enjoyed it, loved the tone all the way through. The only problem i had with it was that it was very hard to take Batman's gruff voice seriously.

^He did dial it back from Dark Knight. I didn't have a problem with it in any of the films, but I appreciated that he scaled it back a bit here.

Yeah, I agree. I think he was less forceful in his delivery which helped. But in the end, I understand he is trying to disguise his voice. The outfit and voice are part of the "theatricality" taught to him to wage war against his enemies. So it does have story responsibilities.
