Anyway, I would love to see Grammer as Beast again. That was a perfect casting choice, IMO.

I didn't think he was treated that bad; he had some cool/funny lines throughout the films (Logan tosses Scott's keys to him. "Your motercycle needs gas." Scott throws them back to Logan. "So fill it up.") and he was shown as being pretty kick-***. The only reason he got less screen time in X3 was because Marsden was also shooting Superman Returns at the same time.

Anyway, Beast was pretty awesome. I loved how he became more savage in the final fight. Roaring and growling, just like a, well, beast. He also, tried to anyway, through in a Churchill quote. “As Churchill said, "There comes a time when every man must..." (pauses to fight off another baddie, then another, then another) Oh, you get the point!”

I suppose they could easily say that Jean transported Scott to the future or past even. As for Pro X, reuniting his consciousness with his body might be a little bit more tricky.

you need to rewatch 3 or at least the end credits. Chuck ain't dead, but they did the movie Cyclops a favor and put him out of his misery.

[Future Past] will act as a dual sequel to both X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men: First Class. Singer stated that the story will partially take part in the 1970s and that former United States president Richard Nixon will be a character in the film. He also said that the film will be the biggest movie that he's ever made.

We've come far enough in the genre' now, that the social stigma of "tights" may finally be coming to an end. I don't think studios fear being compared to Adam West's Batman anymore. They might even embrace it now. Speaking of which, maybe we can FINALLY get Batman in his classic greys.

Yeah, I'd also love to see a Batman suit in a movie which was more like the comics version, and not yet another armoured-black-rubber travesty.
They could look at the suit in the games Arkham Asylum & City for an idea of how to strike a good balance.

Never liked the all black leather look of the X-Men movies.
The compromise of the First Class suits was a step in the right direction.

Singer has lost alot of clout as a big budget director. And the mega-bomb which is 'Jack the Giant Slayer' will only serve to remove his name from other big budget films. I imagine if he actually has been signed to direct the next X-Men film, he'll be placed on a short leash to stay on budget and follow the script already approved. For the sake of Singer's career, he best bring it with this next installment.

"Jack the Giant Slayer" has to be the most low-key opening since John Carter...and it did even less business.

I never saw a single preview or commercial for this film, just an ambiguous teaser poster.

Why do Singer's movies cost so much? Superman Returns budget was rumored to be north of $250 million, which is why it was considered a failure even though it did decent box office for a huge film.

I think his production company needs a new accountant.

I think Singer's problem is he comes in with big ideas, but never gets them flushed out to a workable script. In the past, Singer has been able to sell studios on some of his grandiose notions. But now I think the top brass are beginning to understand Singer just doesn't have the discipline or skill as a director to know how to craft those ideas into a profitable film. Singer is an idea man more than a director.
