If Jamie Foxx is the best they can do to attract talent for a villain, then I think it's time to give the rights back to Marvel. I'm not even all that interested in picking up this last installment on DVD. Now I may not even be interested in seeing the next installment in theaters. Jeez. They really know how to wreck a once celebrated franchise don't they? Just sad...

Insert Gerrard Butler as Kraven the Hunter and you've got a movie. Adapt some of the Kraven's Last Hunt storyline and make him a relentless, hunting tactician and I think you've got a winner. Electro? He's fine in the funny books, not on the big screen.

Again, only when it's one way, many people here get up in arms...but when it's the other way, it's all fine and dandy.

I'm sorry, you can't have it both ways...personally, I find it silly.

While both characters are fictional, Electro is just that, Electro. Tonto's main focus is that he's Native American. However, Depp is playing Tonto, and I'm still going to see it, I accept it, I don't go ballistic over it or anything. I'm sure Depp is going to do a fine job as Tonto.

I think any race should be able to play Electro...it really doesn't affect me...and have no issue with that. Besides, Electro is a minor villain, perhaps if he was someone more iconic and known...but come on...it's friggin' Electro for Christ's sakes, lol.

I never took issue with Paul Muni playing Benito Juarez or Marlon Brando play Emiliano Zapata, REAL historical people. I could care less, I think both actors did a fine job.

So why should you care if Jaimie Foxx plays Electro, a fictional character?

In the Walking Dead 70s TV stars thread...I took issue with David Carradine playing Glenn...but it was not really about race...it was more about the lack of acting jobs Asians had during those times...I just wanted to give out a shout out to all my Asian buds...let them have something...that's all, lol.
