Liefeld was a Pain in the Arse at Image.
Dude had His own Camp at Image ...
His Name was Attached to so many Projects from his Camp ..
Issue # 1's out the Arse of nonsense with very little else.
The Greatest things that Happened to Liefeld at Image was ....

Some How This Jerk got Stephen Platt in his Camp
He let Mcfarlane attach Chapel to Spawn
WildC.A.T.S # 3 ...., Where is YoungBlood Team guest stared in pretty much the most coherent Issue anywhere of Youngblood , and looked great while doing so.

I liked the Guy on His 1st few issues of Hawk & Dove ...
I also liked his work on X-Force , and I think He also created ShatterStar , which I wished Mavel woulda done something with ....
... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.

always trading for Hot Toys Figures .

The whole thing reminds me so much of what happened in the '90s when the Image guys did "Heroes reborn", it isnt even funny.

You know what would work? Put Mcfarlane on Batman.

BTW, early Liefeld art didnt seem to bad. Of course, its been many years since Ive seen Hawk and Dove and Xfactor that he did. Theres also no telling how much swiping he was doing at the time.

Actually, from what I've seen of Liefeld's recent DCnU work, it was an improvement over his over crosshatched, no-feet Image days. And of course the infamous pic of Captain America's man-boobs. Seems like he refined his style and actually picked up some anatomy books. No ten miles of legs with no feet and muscles bulging out of places they don't exist. Or less of that anyway.

^^^^^^ it's not that much better, his poses are still goofy and he still draws like he's stuck in the 90's

In his defense, it does look better than the Image stuff. I see some improvement. He probably is better than many of the newer artist that are coming into it now. I still cant help pointing at the problems in the various pages.

I always saw DC's inclusion of Liefeld in the nuDCU as another indicator of just how poorly they think of their readership.

Liefeld is really napalming his bridges. I doubt you'll see him work at DC OR Marvel again anytime soon...

Not to come to Liefield's defense, but really, who the hell wants to work for DC or Marvel now anyhoot a good chunk of what they put out is garbage.....outside of a few books that everyone raves about.....

It's kind of embarrassing when pro's name call each other in public to begin with how unprofessional. but the bottom line these pros are still putting out books that have fans scratching their heads and cancelling books.......

Not a real fan of Liefeld's work but I have got to give him credit for sticking his ground, and if it sheds more light on the ridiculousness that is the DCnU then I'm all for it. I for one would love to see a major shake-up and the admission that the majority of this reboot just isn't working. They can spin the sales numbers all they want to their advantage but the fact of the matter is they've lost readership, not gained it...

I remember, at one point, LOVING Liefeld's artwork. Loving it. Maybe at the beginning of X-Force or something. I don't know. Loved it.

What drives me insane that there's not an executive with a set a balls to tell Dildo and Lee hey nimrods! What the hell is all this and this is NOT working! What disrespect DC has for it's loyal fan base....trying to sell all these bad ideas and cosmetic changes...70 years worth of back stories that can easily be mined but NO! come up with concepts an ideas that PO a good chunk of their readers. sorry but i never liked when someone tried to force feed me junk I usually throw it back up.....

I'm so glad that I now live in back issue heaven and will wait it out when all the plaque is removed from DC..........

I remember shaking my head thinking this guy needs a good inker to keep him in check because he was a mess with his itchy scratchy work that he did on his own.....it's like no one could tell him dude stop drawing man **** and your anatomy is really out there....

I went back and looked at the Hawk and Dove mini. That was my favorite work from Liefeld. I now know it's because inker Karl Kesel essentially just used his layouts and redrew overtop of him.

I find it interesting that much of Liefeld's frustration stemmed from DC's insistence that the Wildstorm characters be shoved into every title, and their indecision once they committed to those changes. It's even more of a cluster than I ever imagined...

I didn't know Winnick and Simone left for the same reasons.

I'm sure Kessel when he saw Liefield's pencils was like "what the hell is all this garbage".....and fixed it like a good inker does.....

Rob would have done himself good if he would have gotten himself a good inker to go over his line without him crying about it.
Jim Lee always used Scott Williams and Jack Kirby and Mike Royer worked great together in the 70's
