Joss Whedon on the S.H.I.E.L.D. T.V. Show:

In a September 2012 interview at the Toronto International Film Festival, Whedon reiterated that sentiment, going on to say "It's new characters. It needs to be its own thing. It needs to be adjacent [to The Avengers]... What does S.H.I.E.L.D. have that the other superheroes don't? And that, to me, is that they're not superheroes, but they live in that universe. Even though they're a big organization, that [lack of powers] makes them underdogs, and that's interesting to me.

      Also:

Evans stated that Rogers' adjustment to the modern world, which was originally set to be included in The Avengers, would be better suited for Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Plus, Chris Evans wants to cameo in Thor: TDW:

          Update:
At the end of September, The Greater Cleveland Film Commission announced that Captain America: The Winter Soldier would film in Cleveland after the production was approved for a $9.5 million tax credit. It was also reported that portions of the film would be shot in California and Washington, D.C.

According to Variety, Fox was developing The Punisher as an hour long TV series but filming of the pilot was cancelled in September 2012.
Too bad, I was looking forward to it. Maybe someone should punish them...

              More Cap 2 news:

In October, Deadline reported that Emilia Clarke, Jessica Brown Findlay, Teresa Palmer, Imogen Poots, and Alison Brie were being considered for Rogers' love interest in the film. It was also reported that Scarlett Johansson would be reprising her role as Black Widow in the film.

              Clarke:

              Jessica:

              Palmer:

              Poots:

              Brie:

I'm assuming the role is for Sharon Carter, though I thought that red-headed agent at the end of TFA was Sharon (seeing a she made a refferance to Sharon's code-number, 13, though I guess it was just a nice nod to her).

I'm disappointed that Anna Kendricks didn't get it, but out of these actresses, I think it should either go to Clarke or Brie. Who do you think should get it?

                  3 facts about Cap 2:

                  1. The story will be darker and edgier, and will have Cap grow as a charcter as well as have consequences from the past rising up to cause trouble.
                  2. There will be flashbacks to him fighting in WWII.
                  3. The story will be based on the Winter Soldier comic-book (obviously).

In October 2012, Lauren Shuler Donner, the producer of 20th Century Fox's X-Men film series, expressed interest in having the X-Men characters appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Shuler Donner said, "I would love it. I personally have close ties to Marvel because of Kevin Feige, because Kevin worked for me. But to take our characters and mingle them in the way that they were written, yeah, absolutely." Mark Millar, who was hired in September 2012 to consult on all of Fox's future Marvel films, expressed similar sentiments in an interview, saying "Fox have said that they want to build a cohesive universe and I’d personally like this to work in complement to the Marvel one. It would be cool if these universes didn’t contradict each other so if you went to see Spidey, The Avengers, the X-Men, etc, as a viewer you would have no idea that all three are coming from different studios. I’d love to make it look like they’re all just happening in one place."

                          Ant-Man release date scheduled:

Walt Disney Studios firmly planted their flag in the calender on behalf of Marvel Studios today, announcing that ANT-MAN is now dated for November 6, 2015.

This would mark the second Marvel film hitting theatres that year, with THE AVENGERS 2 set for the beginning of summer on May 1.

                              Ant-Man teaser description:

“Basically it’s a scene where two figures in sunglasses are guarding an elevator door — and Ant-Man comes out of a ventilator grill, at tiny size. He runs up the hallway at small scale, and then suddenly becomes fullsize in front of the guards. They pull out their guns — but Ant-Man’s already tiny again, and he’s running along the guard’s gun. He jumps and punches the guard in the face, using all his actual weight to knock the guy out.

Then he grows big again and flips the other guard over and throws him into a window."

It's amazing to think rival Hollywood studios are willing to play ball with one another like this. I know Avengers' giant wad of income is the reason, but it's still cool. Yet WB can't get anything but Batman off the ground and they OWN DC, lock, stock and barrel!!!
