Finally saw it yesterday it was okay ,but people are pumping it way too much .I didnt like the film as a whole but I like parts like the dialogue between the actors was great wayy too much CGI at the end I was waiting for the freakin Transformers to pop up at the end and it starts looking like a computer game after awhile my favorite CG MOMENT if any was when Hulk was thrashing Loki around like a rag doll funny as hell and Loki kills agent Coulson what the hell was up with that hes a great character it made no sense to kill him off like that!!,I liked it better then both Iron Man films combined they did nothing for me and Captain America but its not better then Thor I like it much better its definatly not the best Superhero film evermade but good .Im more of a Kenneth Brannagh style of directing and writting then Joss Whedon .

just calling like I sees them I didnt hate it it was good but not great .See Jason when I go to films especially current films and I disect films I look at everything from script,Acting, Cinematography , directing ,Musical score , stunts, CGI, etc as whole movie it was good but not great, some scenes were better then others
to each their own Bro but Im not going to be jumping on the bandwagon like everyone else
I guess also Im not a Josss Whedon fan,I never cared for Buffy the Vampiry slayer or firefly and he also wrote Alien ressurection in 1995-1996 script and it was fn terrible

and now if you will escuse me I am going to watch the Expendables 2010 and rip this film apart hhhhaaahhhhaaaaa kidding I bet Stallone filmed everything old school no CGI BS

I do really like Robert Downey Jr hell I grew up on his films but Jon Faverue direction and script sucked

Faverue is a very good actor but directing is a whole nother can worms

Really? Man, you must be blind to think this. Movie was spectacular and by the far the greatest superhero ever made...period.

If I could have changed anything about it, it would indeed be the Tranformers at the end. I didn't much care for that CG fest. I thought Loki's troops were disappointing.
But still a great movie. Let's hope the DVD is out soon...

I can't fault the Avengers. Its easy to be spoiled by what has come before, but a Super Hero team tackling an Alien race/army on this scale is still unprecedented. The Fantastic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer almost touched on this, but either didn't have the budget or the balls to go all the way with it. Imagine if the FF had to tackle Doombots and a real Galactus tearing through the city.

I honestly don't get how people can not like this film, it is one of the best films I have ever seen, based off of a comic-book or not. It's just an all-around good film that will make you leave the theater smiling and saying "I want to see this again."

nope not blind just very critical on current films being in the entertainment business from 1998 to 2006 I just have a different standard on judeging films an filmaking in general these days ..period. razzle dazzle aint enough!

I actually liked that they went a "realistic" route with the Helicarrier and made it basically an airborne aircraft carrier. Watching it slowly rise up out of the water was oh-so cool! Granted, it defies all laws of gravity and logic, but then so do a guy in an armored suit, a thawed-out super-soldier, a couple of Norse gods and a guy with "breathtaking anger management issues"...
