really its going to be a wait and see for me. dispite some of superman returns dad and son storyline i liked it just fine. i really want it to be visual stunning and if it has a different style than other supes movies i fine with it. i just want the movie itself to be a overall good flick.
who would agree with me that they should have got Byrne as an advisor on it though?

It's tough to judge something like that outside the confines of the movie. If it weren't a Superman film, I'd think it looked pretty cool right off the bat.

When I first saw pictures of Brando as Jor-El as a kid, I knew it wasn't like the comics and said so, but it works in the movie. After watching Superman so many times that I can't count, my favorite parts of the movie are the Krypton and Smallville portions.

I knew they weren't going to go with the classic comics version of Krypton and Jor-El and Lara, but at least Synder is doing something new unlike Singer.

I'll hold my reaction until I see it on the screen. Since the new Superman uniform is supposed to be Kryptonian, I think it's a neat idea to have Jor_el wearing under the armor.

Still don't care for the new Superman uniform, though, comics or film.

I'm open to different interpretations of how Jor El and Krypton looked, I'm just not interested in seeing much of them in the new movie.

I dread sitting through another hour long origin retelling. But other than that I think the suit looks fine.

I wonder if the Krypton design in the new movie will in any way relect the medieval vibe of that costume?

Giant, towering gothic style citadels in the Kryptonian cities maybe?

I hope they go for the more classic SF style architecture as in the comics from years past.

Time to move on from the Richard Donner movie's crystalline look (which was a great design, but now it's time for something new, hopefully referencing the classic comics a little more).

Why is Jor-El even in this? Everyone knows the origin of Superman, and it was told very well by Donner. Move along please.

Exactly...How much new stuff can they even touch in if they're spending time rehashing the origin again?
