Rate Your Favorite Batman Films

A question was posed in the 1st pic of Hathaway's Cat Woman - Mego Talk thread regarding whether or not there were others who didn't care for Nolan's Batman films. Thought it might make for an interesting topic to rate the cinematic film releases.


My preferences:

My fave is Batman from 1966. I saw the first newer Batman film w/ Michael Keaton, and I didn't really like it, so I didn't bother w/ any of the other films. Although my mom, (before she died), saw the Batman & Robin movie on cable once, (quite unusual for my mom to watch anything to do w/ superheroes unless I was in the room), and she kind of liked it.

Stand alone Hall of Fame: Detective Comics #27 and Batman #1

Honorable mention: Batman 1966, Batman 40s (both serials), Batman cartoons, Batman toys, and Batman Returns.

Mediocre at best: Batman Forever

Worst of the worst: Bat guano

Terrifying: Me in a Batman suit

Deserves to be erased from humanity's memory: Batman & Robin

I don't know what it is about Returns that makes it my favorite (I sort of do:Catwoman). I almost picked Batman Forever over Dark Knight, and I thought about a tie, but I had to
give it to DK in the end for the Two-Face performance and EFX. Otherwise, and I realize I'm in the minority, but I really don't like Dark Knight at all. I don't care what anyone says, I hate Ledgers Joker and I hate his stupid Stewart Smalley voice. And Gotham City is Chicago? Yuck. I guess it explains the Jokers dopey Chicago accent. And does EVERYONE need to growl their lines?!? It sounds dumb enough when Batman does it. Yeah, I can't get past most of it. End rant.

you are not the only one I hate Ledger's Joker...I don't give a squat what anyone says but that was not the Joker I know and love from the comics.....

and don't get me started with Bale's growl and Robo Batman suit.....
Gordon and two face saved the movie for me....but I can't sit and watch it anymore....

add me into the Dark Knight hate club. I find it unwatchable (it's better than Batman forever or Batman and Robin but then that isn't saying alot) and some of the films would fall behind many of the BAS 2 parters for quality
