        >"If you didn't like the photo, you only see about a tenth of what the suit can do," she teased. "

That line kinda worries me. I'm almost expecting a weird, skintight Iron Man kinda thing now. Especially considering my buddy Rob's complaint about the last film: that Batman really didn't do much, and solved every problem with some weird gadget.

Haha - I seriously remember being a kid and watching Batman in the theatre thinking "oh, okay - NOW the action is going to start!", and and I'd lean forward in my chair and Burton would do some quirky thing where Batman just flattens 5 bad guys in seconds without hardly moving. "Oh, that was it?! Well, I'm sure that THIS is where the action is going to start!" and then that guy who played in the show "Arle$$" would show up again for no reason.

It's cool that people like them, but I really didn't get Burton's Batman movies.

Burton is all about visuals...not action.

I will admit that sometimes the action in Nolan's movies is hard to follow, but with Batman, I think that's the point. It fits in with Nolan's "as real as possible" view of Batman's world. Batman jumping into a hail of bullets like in the comics doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Nolan's solution is to have Batman silently wade into a group of criminals and very quickly roll from one to the other, brutally disarming them and knocking them cold. The fighting style they adapted works well for this.

Oddly enough it does fit in with the one "supernatural" element Nolan retains: That Batman can almost appear and disappear at will.

I think it's very effective for the character myself, and much more satisfying than the obviously over-staged "that would never work" theatrics of Burton's fight scenes.

I love Anne H. As with many early promos you might not be getting the full picture. This may be early in the film before she gets more costume. Even if not, I don't need catwoman in a full mask. Joker's look varied quite a bit from Ceasar Romero, nicholson and the comic and that seemed to work out OK.

Exactly...and people tend to forget...this is from a Nolan Batman movie we are talking about...where he goes for realism...not Halloween costume getups...lol.

^Yes, because an emotionally-scarred billionare in a (now-armored) bat-costume is SOOO realistic to begin with.

                          >where he goes for realism

I think that's the problem. It's NOT realistic, but it tries hard to LOOK realistic.... even though you're dealing with fundamentally unrealistic ideas. Leads to a strange self-consciousness that leaves me cold.

I saw a clip of her (stunt double) on the batcycle. You see more of the costume. it looks very Julie Newmar inspired.
