So....I saw Cap today and LOVED IT!! Easily THE BEST comic Book movie this summer, no contest! In fact...I'd have to put it up there with the other greats(Batman Begins, TDK, Spiderman 2, X-2, X-Men:First Class, Superman 1 & 2). They got it so right! Chris Evans totally NAILS character of Steve Rogers....he really took the role seriously and poured his heart into this movie and it shows. The whole cast was great really!

I just can't say enough good things about this movie....I'm totally GEEKING OUT!

Not really a spoiler but Reb Brown, TV's Cap, was caught at the screening for the film by Wire Image.com July 19, 2011 - the El Capitan Theatre
Hollywood, CA United States. I wonder if he had an uncredited cameo:

The fate of the Original Human Torch/Android an the Origin of the Vision/WonderMan has been pretty convoluted thru he years. John Byrne tried to clean it up when he re-introduced the Original Human Torch into the Avengers West Coast. He has an explanation on his website. Read it here:

    Byrne Robotics: FAQ

Use the link to read it. I would not advise copying and pasting his info anywhere. He doesn't allow it without permission and might actually take action if you do. Read his disclaimer on the content of his site. He is serious.

Monsieur Le Bat Chris wasn't saying this shouldn't have spoilers. (Did you notice he started the thread titled with spoilers?

Oh and Hector -and believe it or not - there are people (even here on the boards) who don't know the histories of all these characters so they are very much spoilers. And some things -like where you see hints from other films or what easter eggs are included are spoilers.

I tried to avoid all info of the film -even watching trailers (though I did see one trailer and some promo photos) - I didn't even know for sure if they would include Bucky until he appeared on screen and though I knew he would die, I didn't know how or when - It was nerve racking knowing and waiting.

Right Chris...but this thread is clearly titled WITH SPOILERS. Random Axe started his own "non-spoilers thread"...so people can chose which one they want to read for themselves.

The old lady in the antique shop has been a part of Cap's origin since at least the first Lee/Kirby retelling of the 60s. In most versions, she's a young, pretty female agent in disguise, but with Peggy Carter there was no need for that.

I'm with ya Hector, I don't mind spoilers. But they're not really spoilers because we already know the history of the characters...it's just fun to see how they put it all together in a movie.

"There's a point when Bruce Banner gives up on his quest for the cure and decides to kill himself. So he travels far North and reaches the Arctic Circle. You might have seen bits of it in some of the promos. The result was a very dark and strong scene, which Marvel, me and everyone else considered to be too hard to young audiences to take, so we've cut it. Having that said, when Bruce arrives at his destination he meets up with Captain America! At some point this week, we will make it available on the internet – but I cannot tell you where or when – and the material will definitely be on the DVD."
    Director Louis Leterrier

Incredible Hulk DVD showing Captain America frozen in the ice: too bad they cut the scene showing Captain America! Shall wait to watch this scene then: Captain America is worth waiting a bit!

dang it - i missed it.

in the US hide out where he got the serum it looked just like the 90's movie with the same passcode and response. <I watch part of it before going tonight. but i think that may have been from the comic as well but cant remember

i was tense every time they showed bucky wondering when he would die.

the tag / trailer for avengers was sweet
