Does anyone see Batman anywhere in this picture?

Even DC knew that Batman would get creamed

While Batman is a genius Spidey is pretty smart too plus super speed, agility, Spidey sense and super strength = Spidey comes out on top (all this from a guy using the name Marvelmania ).

Have you read that book? Luthor hits Spider-Man with a "red sun" gun and amps up his powers, while the residue radiation from such basically negates Superman's powers. Otherwise Spidey would have had his ***-handed to him.
If Luthor can come up with something like that, I'm sure Batman has something in his arsenal as well.

^^ Of course I've read that book. That is not the point young padiwan.

My point is simply this: The people at DC put SUPERMAN up against Spider-man, not Batman when they were creating the story. Even they knew that Batman was no match for Spider-man - only Superman would make the story work.

I will give it Superman. He beats Spider-man just as he beats anyone.

But Spider-man beats Batman - as is. Spider-man with all his powers, and Batman with all his...well...gadgets.

It's like comparing a college football team (Batman) trying to go up against a professional team (Spider-man). They're not even in the same league.

Here is the fight. On film. See it with your own eyes. And let this put it all to rest.

Dude I'm a freakin' comic book Jedi Master

Anyway, the reason Superman and Spider-Man were chosen because at the time this was produced was because they were each company's respective flagship character and this was a potential one shot deal. Had nothing to do with who was stronger, etc.

Plus in the DC/Marvel universe Batman took on the Hulk in a subsequent team-up...If it was all about strength then the natural thing would have been to pair Superman with The Hulk and Spider-Man with Batman. Cause as everyone knows Hulk is the strongest one there is and even Spidey pales to Ol' Greenskin.

^^ Maybe in your own comic book universe mind (just messing with you Anthony)

Yes, I know they were the flagship characters and it wasn't about strength. If it had been about strength, they would have put Hulk against Superman at the time.

At any rate...the captain at the top of the comic reads: "The Greatest Superhero Team-up of All Time"

I know you all have a thing for Batman, and I'm sorry he was left out, but it's simply a matter of "super"-heroes fighting each other, not gadget-heroes.

I've always maintained that Batman is not a super-hero. He has no powers at all except a ton of money, an extremely intelligent mind, and some very cool gadgets.

But if a super-hero fights a gadget-hero, there is NO contest. Spiderman wins. Period.

while Bats is the coolest of all time, I gotta agree, there's no way Spidey loses
