Well sort of as the Greek gods in Wonder Womans comic don't follow the myths in alot of ways but do have their names but not in all the cases as even the names are different for some of the gods in wonder womans comic. Joe do you read Wonder Woman? That's not meant as a dig at you either but was wondering?

What do folks think about Darwyn Cooke's Healthier Proportioned Wonder Woman?

I have the entire Golden, Silver, and Bronze Ages on digital files. The modern stuff I borrow from my local library.
I have followed the modern story line enough that I am aware of what you're talking about. Wonder Woman's connection to the mythos of the Greek pantheon is still very solid. I also happen to be a teacher of Religious Studies. If anything, the changes that have occurred in the Wonder Woman story line have delved even further into the legends of Mediterranean civilizations and reinforced her ties to the Amazons of legend. Sure, they've tinkered with the ancient stories a bit, but the essential framework is still there.

>Borderline anorexic bodies with breast implants don't cut it for me.
I think part of the problem there is that most cartoonists have a limited repitoire of physiques, so you see the same two or three bodies on everyone.
>like saying that Don Knotts would be a good fit to play Hercules because Hercules had god-given powers too
I would SO see that movie....

This movie would be pretty awesome. Even more so if they had Tim Conway as the centaur sidekick doing that Dorf thing on his knees.Comment
