I can't think of anyone I've seen who looks the part to me more than her.
"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris Mannix
She looks great and would surly look good in the costume but there are lots of attractive women who could look like wonder woman but not be a good choice for a film, the question is can she act?
She's a model from South africa How strong is her accent or can she supress it the way some Brit's do when they do american films (like Hugh Laurie does)?
I have a different vision of Wonder Woman. I keep seeing slender cheerleaders, but what I think is a better fit is a woman over six feet who has a little bit of bulk.
I'd like an accent on WONDER WOMAN... something exotic...or at least
something that conjured a "mythical" Grecian or Roman vibe with her accent...
even English might be cool.
I agree that 6 feet tall would be great.... but what are the chances of finding that?
NOW, as far as "muscle definition" ... yeah.... I'd assume anyone that plays
that role is gonna get relatively toned before filming began... but, who knows?

At this point, I think the only way to satisfy fans is to CG a Wonder Woman like they do with The Hulk. Unless they put Lucy Lawless in the blue motion capture suit, and somehow create an impossible body in a computer like Adam Hughes' Wonder Woman, it would seem really difficult to cast a Wonder Woman that everyone imagines her to be... some kind of embodiment of contemporary, yet classical female perfection.
A balance of curves and lean muscle. Strong yet feminine. With a lot of Lynda Carter thrown in. Acting Chops. Action Chops. Model-tall. How do you cast someone like that?
Yes, she does need to have a regal, statuesque quality about her. It's Wonder Woman, not Witchblade. Having said that though... I think Tanit Phoenix might work. And, she's 5' 9! In heels, that's close enough to play WW.
There's a bunch of youtube clips of her, speaking in various accents. Here's an interview she did, speaking in her own accent.
I think there are more than enough example of competent international actors in TV and Film pulling off American Accents... Lucy Lawless, Eric Bana, the guys who play Bill and Jason on True Blood, Rick in The Walking Dead.
Those youtube clips look like she's been working on different accents.
She looks like she might physically suit the part, but I'd have to see her acting. Has she done any movies?
I'm not even sure I want a Wonder Woman movie anymore. No matter what they do, I probably won't be happy with it, and it means I'll have to start answering stupid questions about the comics. It's the same thing every time a comic book movie comes out.
Hey! Where's the waiter with the water for my daughter?
It appears that she has a role in the new Wesley Snipes Zombie Western GalloWWalker. Not sure how big her role is or even if she's got a speaking part. The youtube clip I saw had her in the make-up chair as a fairly fresh looking zombie.
We should also clarify that the latest Wonder Woman development is as a TV show produced by David E Kelly. I'm a fan of The Practice, but I don't think Alley Mcbeal or Boston Legal hold up too well.
They pulled the plug on Joss Whedon (or he walked away, depending on which version you choose to believe), he went to do Dollhouse, and now has been offered the Avengers movie. I think David E Kelley is the first one to step up to the plate in a major way since then.
