You're in luck, dude! He's BACK! (Check out "Brightest Day" for the current exploits of Ronnie Raymond, Jason Rausch and Professor Martin Stein )

i don't think that will adversely affect Batman B&B and if it leads to a live Blue Beetle - so much the better. I have thought for a while that a Justice League Live show with A listers would be hard to pull off but a late 80's JLI would be fun. Unfortunately the Blue Beetle from the cartoon is not the one from JLI. Still how could it hurt to promote a potential DC live show?

Yeah that was pretty poor...and yet his assassin, Max Lord, gets to come back from the dead, thanks to Blackest Night, but Ted stays a stiff....

Ted's violent death sure didn't help Jaime win any points with most older fans.

I'd like to have seen Ted live, and maybe be an adviser to Jaime. Chuck Dixon even went to the trouble of giving Ted a heart condition, that pretty much forbade him to be BB. Perfect setup to give him a new protege. Of course Chuck intended for it to be Tim Drake for the short term, but if Jaime found the scarab, Ted could have sought him out and helped him deal with it.

But of course, modern DC went the gory route.

I'll give it a chance before I bury it. As far as they new BB I liked alot of what they are doing with him in Teen Titans and the B & B ep where he was drooling over Huntress was fun.

Ted's co-starring in Booster Gold soon, and appearing in Brave and Bold episodes. Not bad for a stiff.

What was "bad" for Ted, actually was pretty good for Booster since it sent him into a leading role in Infinite Crisis/52/Booster Gold/Time Masters/Justice League Generation Lost. Which is actually "good" for Ted because of his role in Booster, which is much better than most of the early part of the past decade where he appeared sporadically in Birds of Prey and Robin (when he was supposedly not a stiff).

Now it's up to you to buy up every copy of Booster Gold you can and hand them out on the street like candy, otherwise you have no one else to blame when they send Ted back to the graveyard!

As much as I have liked the high points of Smallville, (understatement to follow) it has dragged a bit.

I'm suspecting that it probably has more to do with a little known indie film that came out recently... you might have heard of it, I think it's called "Iron Man 2".

Not surprising at all that DC would try and dig out their own armoured superhero to exploit! Remember how everyone in action movies suddenly started wearing trench-coats post-Matrix? (speaking of "The Blur"... Keanu called and said Clark can keep that outfit since he binned it back in the nineties).

                          Agreed.

As for Jaime, I don't understand this unspoken mentality in the fanbase that if it's not 20 years old it's crap.

Ted Kord wasn't the first Blue Beetle. He shouldn't be the last.

Same goes for Green Lantern, Flash, and any other Legacy.

Let's put it another way: I feel the same way about the Green Lantern Movie, as most Ted Fans feel about this.

I don't think Hal Jordan deserves a 'push' after the events of Emerald Twilight, even IF they acquitted him in Rebirth. To me, Hal Jordan is the OJ Simpson of the DCU.

Hal Jordan NEVER should have been taken down the road that DC management took him ....Emerald Twilight/Parallax/The Spectre all damaged the character IMO. So I'm glad Geoff Johns found a legal loophole and got Hal acquitted.

It wouldn't be a Green Lantern movie BTW if you didn't start with the Greatest GL of them all... and that's Hal Jordan

But I suppose you'd probably prefer a Kyle Rayner GL movie

Then there is the fanbase that feels if it's not 50 years old, it's crap.

They would be here *****ing about how Ted Kord is not Dan Garrett if they could get out of the oxygen tent, find their canes, not throw out their backs and figure out which button they need to press to turn on the typing machine (but that is what a secretary is for).

My favourite gag is the fact that it's not Ted Kord or Dan Garrett that goes to his parent teacher interview!
