But I suppose you'd probably prefer a Kyle Rayner GL movie

      1. You ***** because Hal got "acquitted" in your words and is "OJ Simpson" and yet Emerald Twilight is the "most interesting thing that has EVER happened to Hal Jordan". I find THAT statement...interesting to say the least.

      2. I've got a Louisville Slugger with Mr. Scott's name on it that says otherwise

I'd rather B&B not shift more focus to Blue Beetle, but the show is crafted so well now, I'll still watch because when I first saw the art style for B&B I was a bit skeptical. But after watching a few episodes, it's probably the most fun bit of super hero storytelling to be found in any medium in my opinion.

DC evidently sees the latest Blue Beetle as a gateway character to younger fans. If DC is right it's good business to promote him.

I honestly think the Jaimie Reyes character has more potential than Ted Kord, which was just a bargain basement 1960s-type Batman for the most part. I would rather DC to keep the character around because some writer might have been able to do something interesting with him someday.

Heck, DC could have kept Kord and Blue Beetle and called Reyes The Scarab, arguably a better name.

I'm not here to convince anybody else of my opinion. Likewise don't attempt to convince me of yours.

I don't think a mass murderer (even a fictional one) should be marketed towards children, and I stand by that. And I certainly don't think it sends a good message that he wasn't held responsible for his actions.

Do I think DC made a mistake, and cast a good character to the wolves?

I certainly do. But they DID make the decision, and they should have to live with it. Instead of sweeping it under the rug like it never happened.

and in so doing, cast an even better character to the wolves. Kyle Rayner was a worthy successor, and deserving of the mantle. Where Hal Jordan tainted it. I think it unfair that he be cast aside as a result.

                    same for Wally.

Gee, I hope you haven't read any Wolverine or Punisher comics in the last 25 years. Maybe Punisher not so much, but ol' Logan has had toys up the wahzoo and has been in a few Saturday morning cartoons. Even had his mug on kids' jammies.

And if you want to take mass murderers in comics to another level, there's a fella in Arkham Asylum I'd like you to meet....goes by the name of The Joker I seem to recall a few action figures of Mr. J All hung on the peg in reach of little Johnny.

Perhaps...but at least they acknowledged it somewhat in the context of the story ("Rebirth") and tried to offer an explanation. If they really wanted to sweep it under the rug they could have done an outright retcon and say it never happened.

I'll agree with Wally as the Flash. Barry didn't need to come back, even more so the fact that I haven't read anything worth a Damn since his return, but Blackest Night. Wally is also a Much funner character imo. Barry is too damn serious , and is kinda a Jerk off to some degree, with his "by the books" logic. I hate his lines to Green Arrow in the Fall Out of Cry for Justice,... made me also dislike the character to some degree.

I will disagree with all written words on Jordan. I don't even think any point was there, and that is my Opinion.

Seriously though ..., Green Lantern Fact : They didn't sweep anything under the Rug, it's all apart of the GL Mythos now, and forever will be. It's been talked about Since Rebirth, all the Way threw to the last Issue of GL. It's all fuel to make the character better, and what he is today.

DC Never destoryed the character of Kyle, he's 1 of the main characters in The Corps every Month, and him and Guy have good Chemestry there.

"Flash Rebirth" wasn't nothing great (reads better as a trade)...but it's all been downhill from there. Sad because this had a LOT of potential, if done right.

As far as Barry being "serious" and a "jerk", I think they're trying to infuse Barry with some personality. Back in the day, Barry was seen as a "square" as compared to "ladies man" Hal Jordan and "liberal" Ollie Queen. And I also think they're trying to show how out of touch Barry is considering he was away for so long.

The police scientist aspect of Barry has always been there so I thought it would be cool to see where they take him now with all of this CSI stuff. But I always viewed Barry as a police "scientist", not a cop. They seem to be portraying him as an actual patrolman now, at least in the justification for his views on justice.

Maybe things will get better....It's not like they will be getting rid of Barry anytime soon, considering all of the effort they went through to bring him back.

Completely unexpected and pitch perfect for both characters.

Love the fact that Gardner's in Brave and Bold (along with G'Nort whom Geoff Johns seems at a loss to deal with).

I'm probably the only one who wants a G'Nort B&B figure.

But the Joker is always portrayed as a bad guy, and not someone to emulate. Not so for OJ Jordan.

Kyle was THE Green Lantern, now he is A Green Lantern.

I'm all for the Corps being back, but the star of the book "Green Lantern" should be Kyle. He earned it, and he deserves it. He should not have to take a backseat to tainted goods IMO.

I'm not a Kyle fan, but I am a Kyle advocate.
