*Sigh* If your agnostic your claiming no firm belief in even a maker, let alone Jesus. How then are you showing respect? Speaking as a hardcore Spidey fan, here's what matters to me as to who plays Spider-Man:

1) someone who can ACT
2) someone young enough to play a high-schooler or young college student for 3-4 films
3) someone who can be a convincing nerd, yet a smart-a** when in costume

Black, white, Hispanic, Japanese, Chinese - who cares? Spidey'll be in costume through all the good parts anyway (oh, and can we PLEASE do away with the breakaway mask schtick like we got in the previous trilogy? PLEASE? Secret identity, remember?)

Not necessarily true...we saw Spidey take off his mask (or ripped off)...and still saw Tobey Maguire's face in many action scenes...

And if we are talking Jesus, let's remember, it is extremely unlikely given the region and time period that he lived, that Jesus was white.

Abed from Community is probably closer in complexion to Jesus than the ones that get to play him in the movies.
