I am looking forward to this series, in particular the Kamandi, Metamorpho, Sgt. Rock, and Adam Strange features. That's not something I've said about DC Comics in awhile.
The preview stuff looks great. I think the Superman series running in USA Today will be a boost for the line as well. That's a huge new market.

Looking forward to Paul Pope's Strange Adventures and Gaiman/Allred's Metamorpho the most. Wondering if there will be any references to Element Girl given Gaiman's connection to the character and her death.

Yeah, but his track record at doing so isn't that great. He's done Wonder Woman, Demon, Omac, Doom Patrol. He gets about a year & a half out of it before it gets cancelled and rebooted. I dunno why, I liked some of it such as the Demon. Byrne's a great artist, I always liked his work. Granted Superman was a long run, but that was a different animal completely.

I'd like to see Mike Allred take a crack at Kamandi, or Darwyn Cooke, or Jordi Bernet.

You had me at Kamandi but the other characters/creators intrigue me enough that I'll actually buy this. I love the Hal Foster swipe.

That is gorgeous. Love the Kirby art and salute at the bottom too.

Why isn't Mark Chiarello (editor of this book) running DC? If he was, I think EVERYONE would be well satisfied. The guy knows how to present these characters in a classic fashion for a modern audience.
