Oh the pain, the 90s was a bad time for good comics you had the whole Batman/Bane the reign of the Supermen the whole IMAGE comics are great hype Klye Rayner as Greenlantern and lets not forget Lady Death and the multi covers the foil covers etc etc a really bad time the only good series from that time were Power of Shazam and Starman and X-MEN the hidden years burn every thing elseComment

I loved Starman, Kingdom Come and Morrison's amazing run of JLA . The only thing that hindered that JLA experiece were stupid dated things like mullet superman, Seattle Aquaman etc.
Peter Bagge's "Hate" was in my opinion, the best comic of the 1990's. Some of Buddy Bradley's life was like looking in a mirror.
All that "giant boobied woman with a four inch waist carrying a giant machine gun while wearing Stilleto heels, did i mention she's a nun? who fights tentacle porn monsters" crap can die in a pile.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

I was pretty much finished with superhero comics by the early 90's. The stuff I read in that decade was mostly Vertigo stuff: Sandman, Hellblazer, Preacher, Transmetropolitan.
Oh and yes, I also give a big vote to "Hate". Fantastic comic, I was instantly hooked after I read my first issue (around #8 or so). It's my second favourite 90's comic after Neil Gaiman's "Sandman", which I thought was just pure genius.Comment

as far as new characters created in the 90's with staying power, it looks like Hellboy, Madman and Savage Dragon are it.You must try to generate happiness within yourself. If you aren't happy in one place, chances are you won't be happy anyplace. -Ernie BanksComment

^^ Outside of Tim Drake who is still around and relevant in that list? Azreal-nope, Witchblade-nope, Kyle Rayner-not really, Bishop-not sure about. Spawn's sorta become a has been, too. Sure the comic is still around, but the movie blew and nothing new outside the comic is happening unless you count the MCFarlane statue/toys.You must try to generate happiness within yourself. Kyle's in a Book every Month
Azreal is Back again ,.. ok I'll give you that one..
Witchblade still has a Book & I think is more known of a character than Savage Dragon is... She had a TV Show,.. like 4 or 5 statues & several figures, I'd say she was very relevant.
Bishop's been in the X-books or atleast one book here or there since he was introduced.... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.
