New upcoming Spider-Man comic book cover

Please...this is by NO means a political thread...I just wanted to show the cool factor of our next president on the cover of the new Spidey comic book...

The Associated Press: Obama and Spider-Man appear in comic together

I don't think I've ever seen a actual president/soon-to-be president...on the cover of a popular comic book such as Spider-Man.

Whether it would have been a Republican or Democrat...I think it's a cool idea.

    ATTENTION...

If you have any respect for the Museum...please do NOT start a political all out war...let's keep it civil...and just go with the flow in a friendly manner.

    Thank you.

Do you think Barack has the power now that he's Commander-in-Chief to undo "One More Day"?

I thought Colbert was the President in the Marvel universe.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

          >I don't think I've ever seen a actual president/soon-to-be president...on the cover of a popular comic book such as Spider-Man.

I thought JFK appeared in an issue of Superman way back when; and there was a Richie Rich story in the 70's that had a group of crooks that looked like Nixon, Ford, and I THINK Carter.

          >I thought Colbert was the President in the Marvel universe.

He was running, but I thought he had to bow out for some reason. (He DOES have Cap's shield though.)

          >Do you think Barack has the power now that he's Commander-in-Chief to undo "One More Day"?

HAW! He's good, but not THAT good....

JFK appeared in Action Comics #309, which went on the stands AFTER JFK was assassinated I believe. National went ahead with the story that they had already scheduled after checking with Kennedy's people as a tribute.

Reagan showed up in a Byrne issue of Action Comics, too.

I agree this should be a very careful thread politically Hector.

But I will venture to say that as a proud American and proud SPIDERMAN FAN,
that cover just looks real cool...not only in concept (which rocks) but in
                    design...thanks for posting.

Now that I think about it, a picture of the 70s Spidey and Supes
flanking Jimmy Carter would be rad too!

I didn't know past presidents have been part of comics before...that's great...I would certainly collect them all.

yeah, didn't Bill Clinton appear in the Funeral of Superman storyline or at some part of that whole death of thing?
Reagan was in Dark Knight Returns but I don't think it was out of respect, Miller was making fun of him.
