^^^ The brains of the DCU should be there in the Crisisisis's. After all, he's Batman and of course he has a plan.

That's why I don't read Batman titles anymore.
I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.
DC may play games...kill Superman...kill Wonder Woman...break Batman's back & replace him with Azrael & Grayson, kill Batman...etc etc etc....but just like Superman will ALWAYS be Clark Kent so will Batman ALWAYS be Bruce Wayne. These characters are too enmeshed with their secret identities to ever be anyone else permanently. It's just another temporary replacement. Bruce WILL be back.

the whole story line was a convoluted mess. The end of ths story - no body - setting up the obvious return of Bruce Wayne, was a very weak ending to an even weaker story. Bruce will be be back in a year. What a waste of money these comics were.

I just came from the comic shop. They had a bunch on the table still. I picked it up, leafed through it and put it back down. Then I went back and looked through 3 boxes of new "old stuff" and bought $30 worth of back issues.
Was a time I would've bought multiple copies of that "event". I just don't care anymore. In fact, I can't wait for this Final Crisis to be done with cuz I think I'm done with big "events" after that. I have no plans to get suckered into the REd Lantern thing.

^^^ Yeah, the multicolored Lanterns thing is getting old. I'm waiting for the Muave and Plaid Lanterns sagas.

Well, I'm glad to hear that no body was found. That means he's about as dead as the next comic character. At least they can bring him back without violating the character too much, although from the sounds of it, he's been violated enough.

I asked to see the Red Lantern special that I hadn't ordered but was sold out. I leafed through it and handed it back to the comic shop owner. As I did this, another customer who had just come in said, "You're not going to buy the REd Lantern special?". I said I wasn't interested in it and things were just fine when there were only Green Lanterns. LOL Then I went back to look through the new old stuff.
While I was salivating over these back-issues the guy struck up a conversation withe the owner about the Lanterns and it made me chuckle but he also had a point:
Why is every new color of Lantern a bad guy except Green? And shouldn't the green ones be envious?

Feels like it's building up to be a huge drain on my bank account so I'm gonna sit this one out.
Let's see, there will have to be 50 tie-ins, 15 specials, some sort of mini-series to encompass it all which will inevitably be late every month. Then to top it off nothing will have been accomplished at the end except to set up for the NEXT huge DC marketing ploy to empty my wallet.

The Rage of the Red Lanterns is a precurssor to the whole Black Lantern thing next summer which will probably be much cooler than this year's fiasco of Final Crisis. I for one (along with BK) am willing to give Geoff Johns the benefit of the doubt, as he hasn't really disappointed me so far. And you only have to buy what you feel comfortable with. For example, on Final Crisis I've only bought the issues of Final Crisis, not all of the other tangent titles with "Final Crisis" slapped on the cover. Same for this Green Lantern stuff...I'm sure there will be cross-overs in "Green Lantern Corps" but Johns isn't writing that, so I won't be buying it. I'm willing to spread my dollar around but only if I'm getting something back in return. This year's Final Crisis and Batman R.I.P. has left a bad taste in my mouth as far as experimenting with these BIG EVENT storylines.....

Well don't buy it then. Thats all one has to do.
From what I have read so far,... this is the Best writing & concept to come outta DC IN Yrs in my Opinion. Johnn's is always on target with his writing & the Artist that pair up with Him are always outstanding . This isn't some Secret Invasion , RIP OR Even any new crisis story from Today. This crap is real good imo. If you don't like it , don't buy it.

I'm just alittle confused by some of the posting ,.. as far as if someone doesn't like something because of the concept ,.. or because they bought a few issues & didn't like it cool,.. I just feel it's a bit nieve to talk negative about something & or bash it, if someone has no idea whats going on.

Green Lantern ,.. after Rebirth & during is one of the Only possitive story arc's in the big 2 Companies in the last few yrs. In a sea of Endless BS that is constantly being marketed & sold on the Shelves today, this is one of the "shinning stars" out there,.. so I kinda feel strongly about the book & idea of this new story arc. It's great imo.

& BTW... the Red Lantern THING is only a 4 issue arc, to introduce them. Everything is a Lead up to the Final chapter,.. "The Blackest Night" . I am sure if one was picking up those beloved back issues of Green Lantern,..because everything "sucks" today, they have heard this phrase before.

Yeah "Green Lantern" has been a solid read since "Rebirth"...I slightly lost interest during the recent "Secret Origin" arc but I understand that a lot of that was set-up for the upcoming Red Lantern/Black Lantern stories.
