It's just been released for the first time on dvd, so I think I'm going to have to pick up copy. I love the theme tune and wish they would release an original sountrack one of these days.

Is this the complete series or handpicked episodes? I'm only interested in complete series myself.
          Cheers.

It's a lot of fun. At the time I thought the quality (both in animation and story) was superior to the Super Friends. In hindsight, it was only slightly better, but at least it was wittier! And Firestar was the hottest super hero chick on TV.

Firestar rocks. I also like this cartoon. Been catching it on TV lately.
"Steel-like jaws clacked away, each bite slashing flesh from my body - I used my knife and my hands, and when they were gone, my bloody stumps - and yet the turtles came."

It is out on DVD, but only in the UK. Which works for me, as I've got a multi-region player.

i wish marvel would do a toyline based off the cartoon, retro look and everything but that most likely will never happen.

That's pretty spot on to my take as well.

there are often distributrion rights issues for licensed properties (others here can talk for pages about the batman 66 issues) in this case marvel may be in a fight with fox or even the old sunbow over who has the rights to sell dvd's in the US but not UK. The rights for broadcast (ie toon disney) are a separate issue. this is one of the reasons the filmation dc cartoons weren't out on vhs or dvd for so long but played on wb and on boomerang for years.

samething happened with the transformers tv show and gijoe after RHINO got the rights (hence there is not a current release of trasnformers so the box sets go for a mint on dvd)
