Well I like your sculpts over Hot Toys.
Looking forward to the final product. Actually you should get posters made. I'd buy one!

Kinda. Plus Hot Toys is taking way too long and it's cheaper for me to crank them out.

Here is Dr. H with fluffed up eyebrows. I wish I had cleaned up the sculpt more before I baked it. Oh well.

So Jess, this is for a Nativity scene?

I sculpted this guy about two years ago, but looking at him now he looks like crap. So...I am resculpting him. Here is the headsculpt after I whacked off the Apoxie with a steel mallet, and shaved off whatever refused to budge off with my exacto knife.



This is him circa December 2008. Yuck.

This was how he looked last night, but I wasn't feeling him so I reworked his face and hair.


This is how he looks now. I'm going to leave him alone for a bit and see how he looks later on, after I have taken a break from looking at him, to see where I can tweak him.

I have massaged Dr. H's hairline. I think it looks better. Wondering if I should add more fluff to his eyebrows.


I also tried to work on my favorite Prefect, but I wasn't feeling him...


So I ended up with this guy instead, Dr. M. I think his hairline is going to be a nightmare, but I need to push on and keep trying. He's still very rough at this stage...trying to get that perfect scowl. You know how that goes...

Are you going to wear this stuff yourself, or did you find a partner in crime to wear it while you're chimped out?

My partner in crime is unfortunately too far geographically for me to visit...I have yet to meet him but we talk on occasion. Perhaps there are other apes who would like to experience being under the goo, and if they are able and willing more power to them. I still have yet to find someone in my neighborhood to costume with. Until then, this appliance awaits them. Too bad my husband cannot be convinced to go under the goo.

I have found a really tall costumer who wants to be Dr. Zaius. He's got the body type but is too tall in height. I know he can recreate the costume as he is the costume designer for the Retro Dome. I can easily make him an appliance if necessary.
