And now for something totally unexpectedly mindblowing! Somebody that nobody will probably ever sculpt. Presenting....Takashi Shimura! I will sculpt him in Mego scale so that he can stand side by side with Toshiro Mifune.

David's friend, who will be an action figure in Mego scale. I can't believe he's building up so fast. I can't wait to start up his hair, but I think I will build up the rest of his head first, and I still need to tweak his eyelids. I really like how nicely he's coming along. Scale is perfect. I wonder how David will dress him up?

I think he's pretty much done! Yay! Just waiting for feedback from David before I fire him up one last time.

Had to angle his head for this photo because of the shadows cast by the lights.

You should be fine. That's why I love the Zica bodies. That slightly larger scale has bailed me out on several occasions. Your sculpt looks excellent. We'll have to get you to make a Carl Kolchak "Night Stalker" head.

My samurai lives!! I will start his costume soon. I hope he still looks like Mifune. Today, I rewatched Red Sun. I had been craving that movie for a long time, but it was $35 used, and I kept forgetting to put it on Netflix. This weekend I couldn't resist, and I was able to purchase a DVD from Amazon for $12. Hopefully in a few days, my Yojimbo wll come, because I've been craving that movie like a mad monkey.

Egads I hope he does not look bobble-headed. I worked real hard on trying to keep him in scale. Once you add clothing, it makes the head appear smaller. At least that's the plan.

Chris, the head is not big anymore that I have re-done, and should fit a Zica body. Hope Craig gets a new batch soon. I kept putting it off buying one and I wish I did!

Anyway, here's Mifune now. I totally need to clean him up. I'm going to bake him one last time, and then when he's cooled off, I will smooth him out as best as I can with some wax and try to make a decent mold and cast out of that...and see how he really looks on a Mego body. I think he's a good size...but I can't tell until I see his cast.

    Hey Chris!
How goes your project? Any larger pix of that avatar photo?

Is the head too big for a Zica body? It looks excellent.

Mego scale Toshiro Mifune is in the works. Burke is there for sizing purposes, to make sure that I stay in scale. I was so tempted to take a mold of Burke and rework him into Mifune because I can see Mifune in his sculpt already.

I also added chimp feet to my Mego scale zira. I'm going to add leggings to create a boot effect, but I haven't found the perfect fabric for that yet.

Darn it! My sculpt got too big before I realized it...but this is how he looked before I chopped off portions of his hair and the sides of his face:

I'll capture him eventually. If at first you don't succeed, try and try again!

Hey IM! THat would be great if you can spare one samurai looking head. I can't really tell how this guy will look while he remains unpainted. If you have a headsculpt that looks more samurai, I will turn this latest guy into a Chinese swordsman instead. I love those costumes, too!

Looks great Jess. If you need samurai heads PLMK. I have a few that I don't think I'll ever wind up using. You're more than welcome to them.

OMG she's so cute and awesome! I need to fix the back of her hair, but she's almost done, and ready for an official portrait. Yay! FYI, I plucked off the hieroglyph from the Sideshow Cornelius outfit and glued it onto her outfit. After trimming it's perfect scale for Megos!! And yes, I'm a sucker for packaging. I saw the chimp's face on the chocolate bar and had to buy it.

Here she is next to the Sideshow Zira:

Eh..spoke too soon. I decided her hair was too poufy, so I have dremelled it off and I will build it back up again:

Here's how she is before painting up, on a Mego body for sizing.

Time to get back to this guy. I will try Mego scale so I won't have to worry about shrinking it.
