I'm a fan that was born in 66, I watched it faithfully in reruns and still on my bootleg dvd's. I don't plan on dying all that soon. All it needs is to be remarketed as a kids show and it will be big with another generation. Mattel's Hot Wheels stuff and the way they vanish from store shelves should be telling all the squabblers something about what the series can do for merchandising. You must try to generate happiness within yourself. If you aren't happy in one place, chances are you won't be happy anyplace. -Ernie BanksComment

It's pretty hard to remarket something when you can't get the license to do it. Like I said, the rights to the show have been tied up in legal hell for years and as far as I know there's never been any indication that will change in the near future.Comment

Personally, I'd love to see Farscape figures in 8 scale, but I doubt many mego fans would go for it. If I were to fantasize about EMCE doing 70s TV figures, I think it'd be Fantastic Journey. Now that license would be cheap!

I wish Doc would make a posting here asking "us" which one of HIS potential five should we do next?
I realize the reasons and logic behind why this wouldn't be possible, but it would be cool if we could vote on it.Check out my website: Megozine Covers - HomeComment

Doc comes here often and I am guessing he sees the posts. Unfortunatley he probably doesn't have as much pull with the EMCE company as you think. I am sure if you have an idea you can email it to him. He usually responds pretty quick to me when I have a serious question. I notice if I ask him something really less important he won't respond. I am sure he does that on purpose. LOLMore custom Mego madness on Facebook right here...

IF they could get theyre paws on the universal monster license...there could be UNIVERSAL MONSTER SERIES
Dracula
Frakenstein
The Wolfman
The Mummy
Mr. Hyde
The Invisible Man
Igore
Dr. Henry Frankenstein
The Phantom
Dr. Vanhelsing
The Bride Of Frankenstein
The Creature Of The Black Lagoon
Dr. Pertorious
The WereWolf Of London
All nicely detail sculps of the actors
Ah now thats a good line up if you ask me guys and gals
Then again i had the same dream of hasbro getting that license and making 3inch figures and figure deluxe with a lil playset
with other playsets from the film and vehecles and whatnot...
o.o i'm 22 and i'm a monsterkid.
so far i got jakk pacifics universal monsters and that company which i forget they had dracula, frankenstein, wolfman, mummy, and the creature. they're very good figures
but i hunger for moar action figures with monstersyou can never satisfy the need for monsters
man indiana jones line from hasbro is cool! now if only universal monsters can get that much bang! >w< i still think a castle frankenstein with a henry action figure would be great along wih the slab and the equipment....
or the mummy's tomb with mummy and coffin or the stage coach with malva the gypsy.

New EMCE ideas...
Well, let's face it; most of the big shows are spoken for as far as action figures go. Doctor Who, Star Trek, Star Wars, etc...
Same thing for DC and Marvel. Doc was in a big todo with DC and Marvel over some of the stuff he was selling, and he had to pull certain items.
How about historical figures?
Eleanor of Acquitaine, Prince John (he'd be perfect for the Robin Hood line), George Washington.
How about the Heralds of Valdemar? That's a POPULAR series of books by Mercedes Lackey.
Or maybe something from her 500 Kingdoms line of books.
How about fairy tale figures?
NOT DISNEY!
Cinderella
Snow White
Rose Red
The Goose Girl
The Wicked Queen
The Evil Stepmother
The Little Match Girl (yes, I know a depressing story)
The little girl from the story The Red Shoes
Or from the V TV movie and miniseries. They only came out with one action figure, and he was more like a Ken doll.JediJaidaComment

Doing some independent/small press comic book character super heroes would be less expensive than getting the big licenses since in many cases you would be dealing directly with the creators who are building their characters name recognition. Of course you won't have the kind of name recognition that the big guns have, but you also might get in on the next big thing just as a character really starts to take off.Comment
