We could have a list of ideas and make it a sticky, have a vote of commited people for which ones to do first and so on. Have a treasurer keep a paypal account then when enuff funds are reached, send it to who makes the heads and to each suplier. It could be done word of mouth without official advertising to sidestep licensing.

It guess it falls on Me to be Captain "bring down"(Dammit Mike...that's Your Job!!).
Ok...Licensing aside...I don't think We could get enough People together, to even get one Head(Rotocast)made in China. Remember when We talked about getting the Japanese Lady to Sculpt Us one Head in Mego scale(cost of about$400.00)...Lee Majors maybe? Well...nothing came of it.
I once talked to Paul(Doc Mego)about adding the Romulan Head to His China made stuff(good things come to those Who wait!). He told that when placing an Order with His People in China...that it had to be a minimum of 5000 Piece's(correct Me if I'm wrong Paul). Now I don't know what the cost of each Head would be...but that's just the Head! I don't think there's enough People on this Board alone, that would support that.
Then of course...there's the rest of the Figure(Body, Clothes, Accessories, etc...). Which...the only logical thing to do would be buy them from Doc Mego, CTVT's, or Cast-A-Way.Last edited by The Bat; Jun 23, '08, 2:12 PM.sigpicComment

New EMCE ideas...
Supposing that each head costs about .50 cents to a dollar to produce that's $2,500 to $5,000 American dollars!
Not unless someone was reeeeaaaallly dedicated to selling rotocast heads would that be a good idea.
If he/she couldn't afford it out of pocket, they'd have to get a bank loan, and depending upon sales, they might not make back the money they borrowed, and have to pay it off with whatever money they get from their day jobs.
Not exactly a tempting thought.
I thought about it myself, but there's the business of getting a tax license, a business license, and all that other legal stuff, which I'd probably have to pay for before getting anything off the ground. And it might be a couple of years before I saw any kind of profit from it, and I still would have to work at my day job, keep my customers happy, and grit my teeth when my relatives tell me how stupid I am for doing this.
My hat is off to Paul for having the chutzpah to follow his dream in spite of all that malarkey. He's braver than I am.JediJaidaComment
