Could DST make Marvel Megos?

The Mego Spider-man is darn near perfect. The rest have so many issues, though... and Marvel brand awareness is so much greater... I don't know if today you could get away with a tiny Hulk, an Iron Man with a nose, or that off model Captain America. I'm betting the line will be updated.

Not really. All Paul has to do is title it something like "Big news is coming". That could mean new Star Trek or POTA or whatever. Not giving anything away that way.

I'm cautiously optimistic that it will be Marvel, but I'm waiting for the official news before getting too excited.

If it is Marvel, I hope they do it like their Star Trek line where they redo the classic Megos, but improving the ones that at off model (Captain America redo, Hulk and Thing correct size) and also introduce new missing characters (Doctor Doom and a bunch of X-Men). I also hope they come out a bit faster than Trek did so we don't have to wait a year for two more characters.

I also hope they reissue the 13 original Mego Marvel figures exact duplicates though Captain America needs an update! And of course NEW Marvel figures, I want X-Men that Mego never made!

My bet is that it is Marvel, there have been a series of hints for a while now. I just hope if it is, the series will last long enough to produce a good number of characters.

Today on Mego Buzz C2E2 thread started by Dr Mego he said "Yes, I will be there with a big grin on. If you can be there, please be at the panel"

Another hint! 1 week away! I can already hear the Mego Marvel announcement! Cannot wait!

I will take Marvel AND Star Wars Megos, but I believe it will be Marvel. Hasbro tried Marvel Megos in 2007 and Hasbro would be 1st to do Star Wars Megos. And Sideshow does 12" Star Wars! Besides there are more Marvel characters than Star Wars! Make mine Marvel! (and Star Wars eventually!)

I did not consider C2E2 for a Marvel announcement, I thought it would be Mego Meet in June or SDCC in July. Oh, well the sooner the better!
