Ya I don't understand why they can't continue as online exclusives either.

Man... the Mattel RA line sure would be more complete and desirable with those additions. Too bad they couldn't be done as con exclusives at least.

Seeing the prototypes just infuriates me all over again when it comes to Mattel.

I'm sure many on the board has seen this video or actually seen the actual figures, but I'm often late to party. But if you go to the 5:00 mark or there about you'll see some cool unmade remego prototypes.

Seeing two JSA figures in the bunch makes me even more sad the mattel remego super heroes died on the vine.

We never saw any prototypes (even cardboard head ones) for Rory, Amy and River right?

Huge props to BifBangPow for getting right on a Capaldi sculpt! I bet there was probably a John Hurt one as well (can't remember if Jason Lenzi said if there was one on one of his podcasts)

From the EMCE slideshow, all indications were the new protos were miles ahead of the previous work and had some really neat choices of character. This line cancellation remains one of the greatest travesties of toy history. Mattel is still dead to me...

I was going to say Spectre, also. I remember some talk on Catwoman or Supergirl for some reason...no offense to Doc. It was just hard to hear from the hall.

I was told by a very very reliable source that the Boy wonder was one of the un-released mattel prototypes

I wonder if they would get Bill Mumy's licensing separately?

If Mattel was to jump on the Doctor Who bandwagon,I think they'd go the Barbie size route.

I guess we'll officially add Doctor Who to the list. Although I guess depending on where the license does end up, perhaps the 1/9th cloth scale could still be a possibility (NECA!)

Is Doctor Who popular enough worldwide now for Hasbro or Mattel to vie for the maste toy license? In which case, the two formats of choice at those places are 3 3/4" and 6", and no Megos.
