Just got both of mine yesterday and they are exceptional. Paul and company knocked it out of the park! Love that photo with Flash Brian! I think I might have to pull mine out for a display like that. To me, this is the top of the line, modern day, Mego. Just excellent craftsmanship throughout, great packaging artwork, and STILL very reasonably priced.

Wow, those pics are convincing enough!! Now I need both of them!!
And I love that last pic of the two phantoms, Brian. They kind of look like they're singing together!Expectation is the death of discovery.Comment

These are just too cool, although seeing them is bittersweet. I'd gladly buy less popular characters if the line continued when quality like this is the result. Either way I can't wait to get my hands on mine.Comment

I couldn't wait for the TRU stores to get these in, so I went to EE for these instead. These are really nicely done. Its shame we couldn't get a Dracula's daughter figure in this series. That would've been a neat figure to have too.Clothes make the dollComment

I'm just hoping that, if these are the last, we'll get a new line by EMCE that's just as great.
EMCE Universal Monsters has been outstanding..

Got mine Friday, and yeah, another home run from EMCE and Dr. Mego! I was a bit curious re: the change in materials for the Mutant's outfit (it's akin to a soft t-shirt material). Checking it out in hand, however, it's coloring looks a lot closer to the actual creature in the film This Island Earth than the prototype figure did. Also, that sculpt! Definitely on par with other figures in the series, especially the Creature from the Black Lagoon.
Also, it occurs to me, per the film, that the Mutant wasn't a singular creature. There was a bunch of 'em, which means we have our first army builder monster from EMCE! MUST BUY MORE TO FIGHT MY WGSH!!!!"It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life."Comment
