EVERYTHING will sell, the trick is:
-will it sell enough to make production worthwhile
-can you get it exposure amongst the folks who'd want it
SNL is one of them things with appeal beyond the typical toy crowd, so there's a potential HUGE audience. But a lot of them are casual buyers, so you need to make the figure inexpensive enough to warrant a more impulsive buy, and get it somewhere where it'd be easy for them to get one. (The SNL crowd probably aren't haunting the comic shops.) It's a risk, but it has potential rewards.
To that end, I could REALLY use a Church Lady to fight my monster collection. (Or Warduke. Having lived through the 80's that one seems appropriate.)
