Stopped by my Toys R us and all they had was the Bride. Went to the service desk to see if they had anymore. She said no but could order it and have it sent to my house with free shipping! So he is expected to arrive on wed. Can't wait!!!

I just got my set in the mail today. I was talking to my wife about how cool they are, and how I needed to get another creature so I could open one, and looked down at my hands and they had allready started to open up the creature. Well, I had to finish opening him!!! MY GAWD!!!!! CREATURE IS THE GREATEST FIGURE EVER MADE!!! FROM ANY COMPANY AT ANY TIME. IT IS A CRIME, TO NOT REMOVE HIM FROM HIS PACKAGE. OPEN THEM NOW PEOPLE, YOU WILL NOT BE DIASSAPOINTED. I'm taking mine to the bathtub right now.

Careful w the tub, the graphics on the suit come off very easily. Other than that, I completely agree with ya. I love this toy as much as one can an inanimate object. SOOOOOOOO cool.

Thanks for the warning. He was too precious to hit the tub. he is challenging the Phantom to sit on the Throne.

Creech is the only Monster Re-Mego I've purchased and he is really awesome! This is the kind of retro figure I'd like to see more of, i.e. very old school feel, but with much improved sculpts and execution than our beloved vintage figures. The fins are such a great touch, they really elevate the figure and make him a great display piece.

Well, it sure looks like next years Metaluna Mutant will your desire, and I think the Phantom of the Opera will too. This line was fun and had a great deal of heart before this, but it has really, really raised the bar now, and lucky me, they did it with my favorite character. I've shown him to a number of friends - oh hell, who am I kidding - I've shown it to everyone, and even the non-toy, non-monster people are impressed with it. The engendering, design, and execution are exquisite and shine out even to casual observers.

Got one in for the boy's Christmas the other day. I had to resist the urge to rip it open and play with it. What a fantastic figure. The level of sculpt and costume execution at that price point is amazing. Kudos to all involved.

I left a lot of hints to the wife that I want one too. I hope she got the drift!!!

I am not going to be popular but I am not as giddy about the Creature as most posts I see here. As a die-hard Mego fan I see some flaws. First the clothing does not come off, the suit is trapped by the fins and chest piece. Second the fins, hands, and feet are way too sharp. Third the head does not move side to side. The sculpt is great, the creature looks spot on, but is it true to Mego? It almost seems like a plastic figure with some cloth clothing. The Bride on the other hand, perfect!

The head does move side to side, yours is probably just stuck like mine was. Happens to a lot of vinyl toys. Give it a hard turn.

Your were right, it does move! How does one remove the outfit?

I actually handle my figures, pose them. Maybe it is childish but function is important.

I got Creature and Bride today for $17.99 each at an entertainment store. All they had. Creech is incredible my fave of the line and Bride is perfect to! Did Creech have plastic chest piece from the start? This takes me back to 1976 Halloween when I was 6 and my mom and maternal grandmom bought the entire AHI Universal Monsters 8" figures Series 3 for me from Medic Pharmacy! And in 1999 when I found Sideshow Universal Monsters 8"Series 2 with Creature and Bride and Phantom for $10 each at Walmart at Halloween! Nothing like getting Monster figures at Halloween! Cannot wait for series 4!

I totally understand. I play with my figures too, even have 5-6 that i take with me when i go on vaction. I just never considered removing the clothes as a function that I thought was important. But, if that brings you pleasure, that is all that matters. These are meant to be played with and enjoyed and on that we both agree! Do you have the whole set or just Bride and Creech? I am stll kicking myself for not snagging the Jack Peirce.
