Not with a bang, but with a whimper. Emce rocks, mattel sucks. Oh, well.

Mattel should just stick to Barbie and HotWheels and forget about anything else cause they're obviously not capable

if Mattel could use the marketing and distribution systems that they use for Barbie, Cars and Hotwheels, all the lines would do better. Instead the DC stuff seems to be in full retreat, and never gets to retail consistantly.

I was honestly hoping Matty got so irked by the calls, emails, petitions, etc...that they would use the last spots as a big middle-finger.

And what's strange is that Mattel is Dead Solid Perfect for the nostalgia marketing on their proprietary lines. Barbie? OMGods, the retro shilling they do there is a science! It's stunning to see, actually. Perfect handling.

RA ... I just don't know how or why they could so miss the mark. I do agree with the opinions expressed that it was more a Big Jim Retro focus for them. I think there was some corporate ego mixed in there.

Frankly, I'll probably get a Kyle Rayner. But mainly because it will complete my collection.
I'll end up boxing them up along with my disappointment and replace them with a Star Trek Next Generation diarama to hold those figures as they come out. The two figures that they showed so far look really awsome. I'll just pin my hopes on them for now. And hopefully, I won't have to be jerked around by Toys R Us or Matty to get them.

I just hope those new Next Generation figures' shirts fit tightly and don't pull up because Picard's didn't look so hot on display.

^Picard's shirt is supposed to pull up. On the show, every time he stands up he tugs his shirt down.
