Question to those who already have Pike and removed him from the card...Have you removed the head? is the neck peg molded in Flesh color rubber???? My hopes are removing all the flesh paint and redo the eyes and brow to make him look more like Pike....let me know guys!

Given the choice, I would much rather have a slightly oversized head figure than one with a laughably long neck like the new Kirk.

This head shrinkage thing seems like a real hit or miss deal. Not an exact science at all.

can i be added to that list too?

paint seems kinda thick and i have a tiny imperfection from the paint too on his cheek. Great figures either way. I think it worries me tho to make a Pike without his crew. I like completion with things like that. I will tell you tho makes me really want to have TNG retros.

It looks like the factory thought the head was 100% - maybe
they think all caucasian have swelled heads!
Yeah, that's what I was thinking might have happened...

Add me to the voices asking why the head has painted flesh instead of the standard skin-toned plastic...

Yeah, I want to know that, too. Now, bring on Miss Chapel and Vina!

I picked them up today at 4th World in Smithtown, NY. I knew the Salt Vampire was gonna look great, but Pike is a lot better in person IMO. I was NOT impressed with the online pictures, but he's really cool and fits in with the rest of them.

I'd love for this series to continue, but I think we'll be lucky if we see Vina/Chapel.....

    I agree.

The original Mr Spock and Scotty have the same cartoonie look and nobody ever complains.

Riiight? It seems like we're doomed to have the same head problems plague remego in new and exciting ways.
I'm getting pretty tired of toy manufacturers resorting to blackmail. I'm sure the statement about Chapel/Vina was dreamt and issued before DST had any Pike in hand... I'm equally sure it's completely factual.

But come on. I wish they would think before making those statements. At the end of the day it just makes them sound like they're issuing an ultimatum that they won't produce Y figures if we don't all buy X figures with heads 1/2 scale and carved out of scented bath soap. I'm really glad Pike was a marginal character for me and that Salty wasn't the problem child.

M113 looks super sweet. I is all over its!

So Doc, did you guys and DST run out of time during production for a third sculpt, or did DST and the fabricators think they could squeeze more reduction into the process? I'm curious, since it seems everyone knew the scale was whacked when that sculpt came in. And just what up with the skin paint?
