I would have liked Brady to sculpt the Salt Vampire, but given his
schedule, Pike was all he could get done.
I sculpted the Vampires hands too. Just sayin'...

I'm glad SV is getting the thumbs up. Thanks!

No offense to Brady... But I actually prefer the Salt Vampire to the Pike. The Pike looks like it was indeed done by a talented sculptor, but it doesn't fit the "realism" of the other Trek heads; The Pike head looks more like something that would fit in the World's Greatest Superheroes line. By no means a bad sculpt, just not in the same flavor as the rest of the Trek guys.

My other 2 problems with the Pike head (which I will get into more detail on in the Pike review) are the size and the skin tone. I am surprised to hear the first head was rejected for being too big, because the production one is still quite large. And why was the decision made to go with painted flesh instead of molding the head in flesh toned plastic?

I honestly don't mean to come off as a whiner. I am absolutely elated to own these- especially the Salt Vampire (which ROCKS). The Pike is good too... the head just knocks him down a peg or two...
well said. my feelings exactly. Won't stop me from buying either one. Paul don't take this as negativity. it is just observation on what we see. Like I said i will buy them no matter what, I have supported this line since day one, buying multiples of every one and I will continue to do so

Great review, and close up shots. Finally getting a cool and original creature that hasnt been done for the Trek line.
