GUYx1- I really dig how you've "tweaked" your Salt Vampire! Twilight Zone Gremlin suit, with the pillow removed? Is that correct? Also, great feet! Did you make them yourself? He looks really great!Leave a comment:

I just Received my figure last night and I have to say
I was pleasantly surprised. While I was bummed out about the Pike Head fiasco, I really love the Salt Vampire (as I have loved all the emce monsters)
The figure required far less tweaking than I usually do to my figures.
The new body with ultra tight joints was really awesome, as well as the head and hands. Works great with the mego trek toyline & playsets. Great Job Paul!Last edited by GUYx1; Jul 22, '11, 7:44 AM.Leave a comment:

Question to those who already have Pike and removed him from the card...Have you removed the head? is the neck peg molded in Flesh color rubber???? My hopes are removing all the flesh paint and redo the eyes and brow to make him look more like Pike....let me know guys!

I think my Salt Vampire is slightly defective:
1) The suit snap simply will not close, the fit is too tight. It seems the crotch to shoulder area is too small and therefore I cannot pull the two sides close enough together.
2) Standing is a real challenge. I haven't seen anyone else post this, but it's harder to get this one to stand than Uhura, and her boots are basically rounded on the bottom.
3) The head is somewhat loose, it's able to nod a bit.
If I prop it up against something it still looks great from the front (and I dig the fuzzy outfit, even though the pics seem to show something shaggier and more likely accurate). The bodies on both this and Pike are also clearly superior - all the earlier re-releases tend to have their arms out akimbo because their inner bands are too taut, but that's not a problem with these.Leave a comment:

Yea- I'm just being my normal tongue in cheek self...I usually buy from EE, and will, of course, continue to do so. I just stopped by my local comic shop, not even looking to buy anything, and they had them in stock! It was a great surprise to find the figure there right in front of me! I bought it and took it home! For a split second i DID think, "Should i wait for EE? It helps my favorite website....nah- i gotta get it now".... It was great...

I just ordered my set from BBTS. It's 34.99 for the pair, and right now, they have it for an additional 12% off bringing the total to around $15 a figure. I can swing that.
Still really disappointed with:
1. The trays (resulting in larger bubbles)
2. Pike's ginormous, painted head
3. His too-brightly-gold shirt
4. Very soft likenesses of the characters
I still don't understand the reason for these changes.Leave a comment:

EE hasn't shipped mine yet either, they are sometimes delayed on Diamond stuff, don't know why.Leave a comment:

Does anyone know about how long it takes EE to deliver ?
Just wanted an idea when my prize should landLeave a comment:
