Not to be negative, but the fact she's a porn star actually hurts not helps if anything. I've been involved with website promotion for regular models for a number of years and can you tell if anyone even smells porn they run like the plague. Taking that into account, I can only imagine how a mainsteam compay would react.

Yea... that's what I was gettin at too.

alas being a hardcore porn star, kind of takes her out of the everyday/mainstream arena (IMHO)... For me it's "Kids and Toys"... "Porn and Toys"? er... not so much... I don't like the sterotype it conjurs up.

The line's canceled, it doesn't hurt or help because there's nothing to hurt or help at this point anyway. Tanya expressing her interest in the line or the petition doesn't mean nothing one way or the other. She might get some more people to sign the petition, but it's not like she's the spokesman or anything, anyway.

Larry Flynt could be a fan of the line, but unless someone can magically make the figures sell (and given that poor John's still hanging around on the site that's unlikely) none of it matters.

Tanya at least actually bought the damn things, even the ones on MattyCollector. Everything else is irrelevant, IMO.

You misunderstood me. I'm all for the hope that the line can continue. However, I think it's getting a bit much when people are suddenly complaining about who's supporting the cause... Which is how this thread seemed to be headed when I made my last post. Those are the posts that concerned me.

Personally I think the petition is a waste of time, but I don't begrudge anyone who wants to sign it. Pornstar or pervert, if they want to sign to keep the line alive and it actually does some good, that's alright by me.

However I have contended since the beginning that the best way to realistically save the line is to show your support by buying the figures off of MattyCollector. I know that's something that Tanya actually has done, she was actually advertising buying the figures off of MattyCollector long before the line was canceled, whereas others are quick to sign petitions and complain on the forums, but haven't actually put their money where their mouth is.

That's what I was getting at. Tanya joining the crusade is just a legit as anyone and perhaps more legit than some, as she's actually bought the figures from the venue that could keep it afloat.

Buying the figures is what matters, to me and no doubt to Mattel. White, black, man, woman, construction worker or porn star, so long as you're actually putting forth money to support the product. Everything else is irrelevant. Your mileage may vary.
