I've made tons of figures from the Venture Brothers stuff that was overkilled at Toys R Us. Gee....why did this show get more figures then the DCU Retros? hmmmm...we'll never know. Damn Toys R Us.
I kind of did the opposite. I took the overkill of figures at our stores and tried to make some things out of them. When they went to discount prices I couldn't refuse.

    Blue Beetle anyone?

Abe what's his face made a nice Vulture btw...

Hey...does anyone know where my clothes came from? Dammit Parker!

Yeah! He's perfect! THe Vulture is neat too; bit it's a bit disconcerting seeing Rust string back from under there.

Neat customs. Too bad my TRU never has any Venture Brothers.

            >What other parody/homage characters are there in Venture Brothers?

Ooooh! Don't forget Patty and the gang. "Being out of your box is a privelige.... not a right."

The original Team Venture has a lot of parodies/homages. As pointed out before, Venture Sr. is based on Doc Savage and Benton Quest. Action Man is like Nick Fury/Captain America. Colonel Gentleman is a mix of James Bond and Allan Quartermain, with perhaps a dash of William S. Burroughs. Otto Aquarius is like Namor/Aquaman/Abe Sapien. And Dr. Entmann is a homage to Hank Pym.

I believe there was a pretty good Spider-Man homage this past season as well (shot webs out of his rear-end).

I know I'm missing a lot of them. The show is packed with geeky-goodness! :D
