Geez, I really started to like the Retro action females. I'll bet Doc had an amazing Batgirl for us, I think he alluded to that in our podcast.

I'd like to see Robin and any body else. I really want to see how they would handle him with flesh legs, bootles and the gauntlets.

Who knows what specific contracts are out there, but I would love to see Dc direct pick this up. they already seem to do a bit of overlap with Mattel, and since it is DC themselves producing the figures for a collector's market through comic stores, I think the numbers needed to sell would be much more reasonable.

Here's hoping we see one last wave. It doesn't matter who they are, I'll be getting them. (fingers crossed)

I agree. I will buy doubles of all of them. Of course, I'm close to doing that with the entire series. Some awfully good deals out there, so I'm buying extras to keep sealed.

Amen Scott. Now we can get back on the topic that was getting quite good. I wonder if Paul and Joe will be setting up a display at the upcoming Comic Con? Of course Mattel may not want to promote the final wave since they announced cancellation. This should be interesting to watch.

It's a shame for all the hard work Paul and Joe put into this, but what it all boils down to IMO is that Mattel killed this line themselves. Poor bodies for the first waves, the price was a couple of bucks too high, no commercials, hardly any acessories, bad looking cards (I still think the faded retro look was a terrible idea), no real distribution (TRU exclusive and even there they were hard to find), an entire line dedicated to GL (poor character choice and exclusives at that), too much time between waves ... it was inevitable this line would fail. And it had so much potential tho. If Mattel would've listened to Paul and Joe a bit more this line could've lasted for many years
Very well said! I agree with everything you wrote. I kind of liked the retro look cards but I could easily live without the faded part. They should have made them more bright and colorful like our Museum members that make the beautiful reproduction boxes and cards produce.

I am not near as knowledgeable nor as passionate about some of the characters as many of you folks are. Heck, I don't even know who some of them are.

I am just a basic (vanilla) type of collector and would have been happy with just the full line of the more common (familiar to me) Batman/Superman types of figures. Robin, Joker, Batgirl, etc. I also don't open them so I do not have a valid opinion on the quality issues but I did see and understand some of the early problems from reading about everyone's experiences with them. I have enjoyed the line and will be sad to see them go. I have had to buy them online because our local TRU, which is a huge store, only carried 2 of the waves and they still have Sinestros on the shelf. Most of the other figures must have sold quickly and/or were stocked at pretty low levels as I never did find much there. But it was still worth it to me to buy them online and I even bought some from Museum members.

I agree. All should be revealed by then. I bet you the RC Batman and Matty exclusive Lantern's end up finding the highest aftermarket value in the coming years. The Green Arrow exclusive is already a high priced figure to get. Not that any of this matters, but for those wanting to complete the series, I wouldn't wait around. Buy them while their at good prices! I also believe if the last wave is produced, those will be sale outs and will become highly sought after as well.
