actually, TRU is playing the game quite well.
They are probably purposely stocking this way...and are selective who gets any wave.
Lack of availability creates demand and chatter...
or the more likely cause are poor district buyers causing so much inconsistancy.
The closest TRU is a good 45miles from me in either direction...not worth the trip at $4 gal.
We DO have a TJMaxx...but when I take one of these in there to see if they have them (or ever had them), the clerks snarle at me, raise an eyebrow, and act like I just spoke jibberish and topped it off with a juicy fart....and then I walk out.
My local TRU has only had Wave 1 and that's it, and not a large quantity of those. It's such a shame this line hasn't been marketed like it was back in the day. Commercials on TV, ads in Sears and Montgomery Ward, could find them in multiple stores...I've never even seen these in any of TRU's advertising, catalogs, flyers, etc. I can never find them on their website, either. It's a wonder they've managed to make it to Wave 4!
Here in Canada we got waves 2 and 4 of Heroes. Twilight Zone I could get at Sunrise Music Store (but I don't collect them). I've never seen Venture Bros toys anywhere. Ghostbusters I only have seen at the comic store and they want $30 a piece for them and they didn't get Peter.
I'm getting frustrated, I haven't found anything past part of wave 2 in my local TRU and I can't find wave 4 online without paying way beyond 19.99 per figure. Not feeling good about this at all.
