    Retro Price Increase

I was at the Lakeland TRU today, Ghost Busters and the pegwarming Sinestros are now 21.99. SO, if they don't sell raise the price a couple bucks??

Its making the 18.95 plus shipping from ebay or Amazon look a lot better.

It's been a few months since I've been to TRU. I don't think I'll be in a hurry to go back.

Toys "R" us needs to go out "O" business. seriously my poorly stocked walmart has more toys.
It seems they stock more collector crap than actual toys. (Jason masks, and horrible neca statuettes...stuff collectors buy online)
We should all get out loot together and show them what a real kid's toy store looks like!

The only time I ever saw anything but wave one of the heroes was when I traveled to Stockton, CA. Toys R Us there had Wonder Woman, Cheetah, Flash & Captain Cold. My son wanted all of them, but settled for Captain Cold.

My TRU still has Lex Luthor and Sinestro. Maybe the collectors are getting there before me. But to NEVER see any others makes me wonder if they ever got them.

                  TRU stands for . . .

                  Toys R Unavailable .

My local TRU carried the first wave . . . and that was ALL she wrote , having been replaced by the " official " DC figures . . . nice and all but hardly having the appeal that a Mego-esque figure captures .

Most of the EMCE stuff seems to be an initial run purchase and then allowed to go " Out Of Stock " in favor of the latest " trendy " pieces of ( expletive deleted ) .

Mass market chain Toy Stores should be torn into itsy bitsy pieces and buried alive .

                  This is JMO .
Out by sixteen or dead in the scene , together forever .

It's bizarre how TRU is handling the sales of these EXCLUSIVE figures. I know this isn't the case, but it seems like they're trying to sabotage the line. I gave up looking in the stores after the first wave.

Same for my local TRU, wave 1 and that's it. Dropped by this afternoon and they still have 11 Sinestro figs & 10 Luthors and that's it. Not sure why I bother, I guess it's the optimist in me.

Wave 1 ... and thats it at 2 TRU Locations out here ...
I've never seen the Venture Bro's or Twilight Zone here ..., Only Ghostbusters Once, and The Monsters Once, well Werewolf.

The price increase doesn't seem like a smart move to me.... perhaps if product was new, however these are barely worth 20 to me as it is. The Body is too Horrible to justify the price increase, ... they were already more than Monster Dolls, & Barbies 101 Pose Doll. Which Pose better, have better articulation, better clothes, and assesories, playsets and so forth.

TRU and Mattel seem determined to kill this line. I guess they are using the terrible distribution/higher prices model that worked for DCUC.

That makes absolutely no sense at all to increase the price of something that is not selling to begin with.

The TRU that I visit every so often hardly ever changes their inventory at all. They STILL have the Star Trek movie figures on clearance and they are STILL sitting on the pegs literally collecting dust.

Don't they realize that apparently no one want to buy those figures even if they are marked down. I even went as far as to write on the dusty package with my finger "buy me". That is just plain sad to see dusty figures on a shelf. It is like no one cares until their jobs is gone. Then they will boo hoo to everyone about how they lost their job. The way I look at is they were not doing their job very well to begin with. If TRU cannot run a business any better than that then they deserve to go under. No love lost here at all. I certainly will not miss them one bit at this rate.

TRU is like K-Mart which is like The Titanic. The time to change course is NOW not later when it is too late.
